Thank you!

Still interested in seeing what the velours do to the COP.

The only thing that scares me is that the 770/80 is better from those who have heard both, and I don't LOVE the 770/80.

It would be interesting to compare these two closed headphones from Beyerdynamic : the COP (16 ohms) vs the new DT770 Pro Limited Edition (32 ohms).

Journey sounds amazing.  The sound in this video is not so good so go listen to the CD instead.

This is only for portable use, I just want a fun sound and the bass really blew me away on the COP so I am really intrigued by it. I thought the mids were good, definitely less prominent than the bass and treble, but not the worst for sure. Bass is a hidden guilty pleasure of mine and while the HD-25 did a pretty good job at it, I just found the COP to do it WAYY better in terms of extension and impact.
To each his own, that's the beauty of all the amazing choices we have these days! biggrin.gif

More like limited haha. I just can't find a portable headphone that has all I need, even though that's asking for WAAAY too much. However, I gave up on that useless journey and decided that I wanted a really fun sounding portable as well as a super comfortable one.

Have you seen this post?  http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-104-portable-headphones-reviewed-klipsch-image-one-added-10-02-12

Again, one person's opinion but lots of good information there and very thorough.  In particular, see the summary table at the end.

You're welcome.

Yeah you want to use the 770 velours on the COP. Its part number EDT 770 V for silver and EDT 770 VB for black.

Can anyone post a pic with the plates flipped around to the silver side?

Thanks for the pic. No, I mean the outside plate with the black/red Custom One Pro logo. Someone said it could be flipped and that the other side is a silver color. Might look good with the silver velours.

After searching my junk drawer for an allen wrench and couldn't find one, I decided to look in the box and found one.

Here you go:  There's a padding underneath the plate so it doesn't scratch.
