How do you feel they compare to the JVC HA-FXT90?

 

Are these worn over the ear or straight down.

I will eventually get a pair of FXT90s. Sorry don't own them. But I bet eventually one of the guys that end up getting these will.

 

I know many will ask for comparisons. Which is natural. Will these be an upgrade to what I have already? Upgrade or not. No other earphone I have has the massive full sound these have. I think there are enough proper and unique properties that are on these earphones to warrant a look. I do plan on getting a pair of FXT90s but as of now I am more focused on the CKS line of earphones. These being the refined version of 4 different CKS earphones..

Dsnuts, the reason for my question is I am torn between ordering the JVC or these from accessoryjack.

 

Can you tell me if these are worn down or over the ear.

Worn straight down. The earphones are sturdy. The build quality is solid. Even though they look bulky these are very comfortable to have in your ears. Though they do look like Frankenstein bolts sticking out of your ears but it is these bolts that help out with the way these sound. I think either one should do you fine..The FXT90 was reviewed favorably by Joker so I am sure those sound great. I know these are somewhat new but sometimes you gotta take chances on new.  Plus it is from Audio technica.  I am a fan forever..

 

Oh yea I forgot to mention this..

 

These for movies? These would be the closest you guys will get to having THX sound in your ears. That is all I am gonna say about how these sound for movies. I have nothing that sounds better than these for movies. Not full sized or other wise. The natural full sound surrounds you with the sounds in a good movie recording and explosions will rattle your eyeballs.

I had the FXT90s and while I sold them some time ago, I feel I've got a very good memory of its characteristics (I like/liked the FXT90 very much).  I get the sense where the AT & JVC will compare most favorably will be the soundstage depth, dynamic range, & (possibly) slightly warm overall presentation.  I don't think the JVC would match the AT's sub bass presence & impact, though (just a hunch at this point).  Impressions to follow once I get the ATs.

I look forward to see what you guys think..They sound like I am standing in the middle of a big club. with that tune..You guess is a good one. The mids do have a slightly warm tone but the balance is quite astonishing for the size of bass these can throw out..It's musical plus ++%5depth. yet solid resolution in the highs and mids for all music. Rock and Metal has to be heard on these..Imaging is excellent..They don't reach BA like detail but for what is there it is excellent in overall presentation..

 

All I can say is. Everyone enjoy your newest and wear them bolts with pride.

Are they good with new Walkmans?

A860,S760,Z1050 are not on a warm side now. For example IE8 were good with old Sony's, and not a good friends with new models.

I will most likely compare them to the fxt90 l2 and the fx700 as a side acknowledgment when I receive them.
Hopefully they make it here in time before I'm travelling.

Oh nice. Please do. I am really curious to how these sound vs both myself..If these end up being a nice cheap mans FX700. I will be happy with that.
