Popped up in my feed today: http://lockerz.com/s/198015533

Any other info on this besides the pic from Tiesto? Maybe some real high-quality equipment will actually break out of that marketing barrier.

i saw this over few days ago cause it came in magazine from guitar center.

tiesto is not even that good. he's alright, but over hyped like daft punk. akg did better when they used Quincy Jones.

How's this - just read an article that DJ Guetta gets paid $60,000 per half hour for DJ'ing in Ibiza. Yes, $60K

 for half an hour..

 Time for a song.

Tiesto isn't that good at all. Daft punk were amazing on Discovery, one of my must-own albums, and I can't say they've ever been hyped enough for what they did for EDM in the US; But the point is not the artists, it's info on the phones and the possibility of a popular, high quality headphone through "Hip marketing" and sponsorships from an "in" artist.

Talk about missing a trick - John Digweed by AKG coupled with the appropriate hardware should be where it's at!

not hating on daft punk and i do like some of their stuff but still find them over rated and recommended too much when people are seeking good quality electronic music. they are defiantly hyped big time in th U.S as much as the whole world since house and techno was originally formed in the U.S and pretty big. i believe electro and rave was formed here(even Industrial hardcore was and still big in underground chicago) as well so there is some popularity and hype for electronic music. even mainstream rap and pop has obvious electronic music elements/influences to it.
