I have to point out two of my albums that are on another league regarding soundstage (could be a cause of my main rig, but i've heard it repeatedly on various means), and... basically every recording aspect you could desire.

First off Ocean Cosmonauts by Jardín de la Croix (it has tons of sounds spread across the DNR) and then Area 52 by Rodrigo y Gabriela & C.U.B.A. (this really is a jaw dropper, well, IMO)

This news has made my day, sounds really interesting!

When will we hear more about this alternative?

If I'm not mistaken, "The Wire" would meet that description, right?

It's not all that similar in power or topology.

Just get one of these kits, add a power transformer, some jacks, outlets, etc., and a case. You'll get something similar in concept to the O2 or Darkstar: chips.

I agree, but then again, no vintage Sansui design was IC based, every Sansui I've rebuilt (about 5) was discrete. I'm not exactly sure what painter was talking about. The wire is supposed to have phenomenal performance, though, so that's what was thinking.

There are a lot of pronouns flying around here, and I am lost. Are we talking about the O2 builds?

It's nice to see the potential for heatsinking on there, that should increase the performance a bit.

Edit: one thing i freaking love about antithesis though is that oh so delicious guitar tone...now i have to go listen to that cd, it was something they lost with the newest cd that came out last year frown.gif

Metalcore? How in the heck does Slipknot sound remotely metal core? funny how you know so much about the equipment you're discussing, but seem to know absolutely nothing on the music. for shame! lol. just joshing, slightly.

that being said, as you can tell from my last.fm, I don't listen to Slipknot.

If anything Korn was the pioneer of "Nu-Metal" Also, if you want to attribute blame of Nu-Meta's growth look at Ozzfest.

I don't mean to be "that guy" but I think we have drifted off topic more than just a little bit.

Oh look we're discussing music genres. Let's add lots of post- and -core while we're at it.

This is one of those discussions which leads no where. Even more than objective vs subjective, burn-in/cables believers vs non-believers, At least in those you can get some knowledge instead of guys just throwing insults at each other for not correctly labeling a certain band.
