Yesh About The Price Margin $160 M50 vs $399 Beats Pro , Beats Pro is More Than Double the Price but It's not double the sound quality.
By the way I don't like the M50 Limited Edition Cable It's too long to fit your pocket I found it annoying to manage while on the go without a backpack, It would be great if the cable is similar to the standard M50.

The M50 doesn't sound as hot on the higher frequency.

Are the beats pro metal bodied? I could see that adding $60-100 from their standpoint to the price. If they looked the same but were made from all plastic and cost $100 less, would you feel different?

The Metal Body Won't Effect the sound quality and that cause Stiff Neck Too !

Sure its metal, but the design is still horrible. If you fold and open the hinges too much the wires running in the headband will just cut. So you only get audio in the ear piece which the cable is plugged in. Again, this shouldn't be just about SQ. Buying headphones is an entire package deal.

Nice comparison. Beats really aren't worth the high price tag though.

Why dont you compare them to something like Grado 325, Denon 2k, HD 600, DT880 or similar priced cans? Then lets see how well the beats stand up.

Comparing ATH M50 with a can which costs 3 times more is just silly.

I was going to post the review today, but I ordered the Solo as well so I can compare it to the Solo HD.  The line-up will be Solo, Solo HD, MIXR, Wireless, Studio & Pro.  There are't any videos about the regular Solo vs. Solo HD so I thought it would be a good addition.
