SOLD: Virtue Audio TWO.2 Integrated Tripath Amplifier
Will Ship To: CONUS
For sale is a Virtue Audio TWO.2 integrated amplifier. This is a Tripath (Class T) T-amplifier, incorporating a pair of Apogee Tripath DDX2200 series power chips. Class T is an implementation of Class D, creating more efficient, high-quality audio amplification. The small but powerful amplifier puts out 30 watts per channel into 4 ohms using the 24v/65w standard power supply (pushing up to 55wpc with an upgraded 30v/130w power supply), and can drive the most demanding headphones, including the power-hungry HiFiMan HE-6 (my dynamic headphone of choice). The amplifier comes standard with the 24v/65w power supply. For more information, please see the following link (http://store.virtueaudio.com/product-p/vrtu-ia-vatwo.2-pbf-1.htm).
I am the original owner of this amplifier, having purchased it directly from Virtue Audio in May of 2011 (latest model, including all tweaks established in the 2010 upgrade). The serial number is VA3-106. The unit is configured for US 115v. It has approximately 150 hours of use. I mainly used the amp with my HE-6, but I also used it with a Woo Audio WEE and a pair of Stax SR-009 for a short period of time.
The TWO.2 represents several improvements over the ONE.2, namely upgraded Auricap input capacitors, a higher output chip, larger power caps and copper binding posts. The face displays a large chrome volume stepper and a push in power button. The rear of the unit includes a single set of left and right speaker terminals, as well as a single set of left and right RCA inputs and a buffered subwoofer output and power source input. This amplifier is small (but heavy for its size and crammed to the gills with boutique parts), looks great, generates minimal heat and puts out high-quality sound for a reasonable price.
The amplifier has been treated well, and has been covered with a cloth to prevent dust accumulation when not in use. The item is in excellent condition, with no visible scratches. There is one area with a small blemish, possibly due to paint loss or fading (see photographs), but this is hardly noticeable unless one looks closely from the correct angle. I live in a pet-free, child-free and smoke-free environment.
My reason for sale is that I recently upgraded to a powerful integrated speaker amplifier (Coda CSi Balanced) for my HE-6, so I’ll no longer need the TWO.2. I would like to see it go to a good home where it will get some use.
The amplifier will be sold in the original packaging (cardboard box, bubble wrap), complete with all accessories it came with, as seen in the photographs. Accessories included are the standard 24v/65w power brick and Monoprice power cable. RCA and speaker interconnects are not included.
I paid $463.77 for the amp. I am asking for $SOLD, inclusive of shipping. I would appreciate if the buyer could cover the 3% PayPal fee. This price is firm.
The item will be shipped via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation or FedEx Ground. The item will be carefully packaged, and can be shipped the next business day after payment is received. For now, I would like to keep this within CONUS, though this is subject to change based on the level of interest.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
