If the new HD 800 SN are 15000+ and I just received a so-called new pair less then 2 weeks ago...

Im reading post from posters commenting on HD800's that they have had for months with SN#s in the 15xxx+ range.

Less then 2 weeks ago I bought directly from AMAZON a pair  with a SN of 13xxx.

Should I be concerned about not receiving a brand new pair of headphone's?

I did pay the full $1400+ for a new pair.

I did not buy used. It was not advertised as used.

It was advertised as brand new and the cost reflected that they were new.

Should I be concerned?

You probably got a older stock unit, one from an earlier shipment, I'm pretty sure they should be new.

What is the difference with the 15xxx ones? Mine is 149xx

Just different shipments of different batches.  I see no reason for any concern here.

I bought mine off ebay brand new from a private seller that gets them from sennheiser paid $1250+ shipping to canada a week ago. The serial is 154XX. There should be no difference though if its brand new. But if you want to save some money, and if you can return your amazon HD800, the seller is still selling $1250 on ebay right now.

Should be no concerns for this.as that stock is only about 3 months old.  $1400 headphones do not always fly off the shelves.  Also it is possible that someone did not rotate stock like they should have.  In any event it is not like they have been sitting there for a year or more.  If they sound alright I see no need for concern.

If you like the way they sound, that's the only important thing. There is some variation between units, and the sound seems to have been evolving. The 13000+ vintage and forward should be among the best according tor reports around here so I would not be concerned about the number. The main thing to listen for is that they do not sound piercing or bright.

i bought mine used off amazon not too long ago and despite a few paint nicks here and there and some light damage on the exposed aluminum silk mesh, they are in excellent condition.

they are serial 8300 and sound fantastic.

If you dont mind me asking, how much have you paid for them? I was thinking of selling of my 800's to rebuy a Colorware version.

1200. might of overpaid a bit, but hd 800 prices have gone up and they're hard to find on the FS/FT unless they're either also expensive, from a seller with low rep, or have some other issue i don't want to deal with.

Stock varies my  pair from Sound Earphones are 10XXX and they were new and Michael said he had them in stock unsold for several months. I have no reason to doubt him and guess depending on the dealer can find differences in stock.
