help me choose a cable for my se535reds, baldur mk2 pro vs dream cable 5n occ solid silver.

i am looking to upgrade my cables on my se535  reds and hear what everyone is talking about. basicly i have narrowed it down to 2 cables

could someone give me pros and cons between the 2? i have read up alot on the se535 red baldur mk2 series cable. but still on the fence.

 

any help is apreciated thanks

Honestly, it's your money, not mine, but given the price of the SE535Ltd, the idea of spending $250+ on a replacement cable which will only be usable at home is a no-go for me (your choices are both heavy-duty cable, heavy and stiff, not usable on the go).

 

Popular choices around here are the normal Baldur MK2 (not Pro, 2 wires instead of 4) and for me the dirt cheap 6N OFHC cable (nice extension in the treble without killing bass and mids like with the cheaper Furutech cables).

 

I will try a 5N OCC copper cable tomorrow because its more affordable than the silver one (= 4 times cheaper) just in case.

But have you tried the normal baldur cable, if not i could send you mine to try for a while?

 

I have gotten W4R and ordered some upgrade cables for that including baldur so i will be busy with that for a while and not paying much attention to my SE535ltd

yes i have read that whole thread, but it still really didnt help me out much.

 

the seller says the baldur mk2 pro is heavy and kinda high price to performance ratio, where as the seller said amped the dream cable is better at detail,bass,mids and highs, just overall better than the baldur mk2 pro, he also said its lighter and more portable friendly

 

to be honest i dont mind paying 250-330 for a cable if its really going to change the sound for the better

So wich cable is the best? Looking to upgrade my W4R's cable.
