VSONIC V7007 (former "GR08") - Info & expectations thread - Page 59

Maybe they're using the recently released budget IEMs VSD1/VSD1S to build up the funds to start making these.

Vsonic... I'm getting real tired of your bs...! tongue.gif

I think you guys needs to wait for a very long time. It seems like after their dispute with the Japan market they no longer can get access to their dynamic driver which I heard is sourced from them. It seems like when it comes to dynamic diaphragm everyone find their way one way or another into the Japanese market. Even Cardas sourced its dynamic IEM from japan.

At this point the v7007 either RIP or a huge long term delay.

Huh, that's interesting. Guess they're paying for that knee-jerk reaction of theirs. And yes, I know it's a complex matter that I'm not fully sensitive to as someone outside of these territories but I'm taking a chance that we might all be able to agree that it wasn't exactly the most well-considered business decision.

I think also, with releases with such acclaim as the $260 T-PEOS H-200, VSonic is going to have a hard time justifying their proposed prices unless these new earphones are absolutely PHENOMENAL and justifiably more costly than their previously excellent value-for-money offerings.

At this rate, GR07 may have to be discontinued
post #879 of 923

@hatefulsandwich: As a neutral consumer all I care about is the final product. 4

@inks: I read somewhere that the technology used in GR07 is the same one (or similar one) used by sony folks for their dynamic IEM. I believe that technology is patented by sony so it will be interesting to see how are they going to managed that problem.

As the owner of the E888 I was looking forward to it too but don't think so they will have access to the tech/drivers anymore or even at an affordable rate.

A piece of advice Vsonic: Your stomach doesn't care if the earphones are Japanese or Chinese as long as its full. Nationalism doesn't feed a hungry person.

Silly move to have a go at Japan for reasons that don't concern you remotely, just build good stuff and keep rocking.

I really do hope what I have heard is just rumors and infact they are.

It could just be a way to save face if the company was going under...
