Of course it will depend on your tastes, but if you ask me, I think the SE535 are quite overpriced IEMs.They can't even match my R-50 and RE-272 in terms of detail and imaging, and they cost about a third and half of the price of the Shure, respectively. But then again, their sound signatures are quite different. The main pro of the 535 is their thick and lush midrange, thing that doesn't appeal to me in the least.

If I were you, I'd wait for the GR08 (now V7007). They will be in a totally different league IMO.

The best I like about the 535 is comfort and isolation, with olives I do not even feel them in my ears.

But I will wait, GR08 is expected to be something special with "wow" factor

Definitely wait! For something of the same price there is potential that the V7007 will be a ground breaking IEM, as with pretty much all Vsonic products. And even if the V7007 doesn't deliver, there will always be cheap se535's lurking the internet. Keep an eye on the Sale Forum on the site, likewise with Ebay and Amazon. But waiting will be a worthy investment in my opinion. 

So I went back to China this weekend to visit my relatives and my uncle is the VP of vsonic. I went over to the office today and got to try out the 7007 and compared it to the k3003 that they had and my pfe232s. I'm not very good at describing the different parts of sound, but all I can is that the 7007s are better in overall sound quality than the k3003s and pfe's.

Nice! Do help let us know more information! How's the size in comparison to the K3003? Is the removable connector the standard 2-pin (a la Westone)? Do you know if the diaphragm used is bio-cellulose like that of the GR07? Or is it other material?

I can't help but be a bit skeptical about those impressions - he's the nephew of the VP of VSonic, yet that was only his 3rd post in nearly a year of being a member of head-fi? Hmmm. I hope it's true and that he's right...

True... However, VSONIC has had a great track record, and that's what I judge the company by, not by self-proclamations of supposed superiority (that the CEO has often made). I don't even care if it's not as good as the K3003. It is, in fact, going to be 1/3 of the price. However, I do care about its ergonomics and functionality, as well as the quality of materials and care put into its production. That's what I wish to hear from the supposed nephew of the VP of the this and that and whatever...

same here , i think i'll get this little one when they come out :)) , i quite love the sound of k3003 but the price make me sick :(

i'll not disappoint if they don't sound good as the k3003 because of the price :) but i do give some hope for v7007 :))
