Hmmm...they keep delaying the release date.  I'm sure the wait is going to be worth it though.

I've just got a pair of H-100 to keep me happy until the GR08 is released, so I guess I can't complain.

they also said that the 007 and 09 aren't happening.

As for rumours of a Vsonic Focus 007 Planar and GR09, we would like to say that we would not comment on these rumours but you guys shouldn't get your hopes up!

If so, I don't see any denying about those models there! Obvioulsy, any manufacturer wants their costumers to buy their current products, and not be holding off and waiting for future products...

The Focus 007 was announced by VSONIC's CEO some months ago in is personal Weibo page. You can read all about that in the dedicated Focus 007 thread. The rumour about the GR09 surfaced more than a year ago, and it was about a multi-BA IEM (6BA IIRC). It was also mentioned the GR01 and GR08 and those are real, but in the GR09 case there was never any official info about it, and at some point earlier this year, there was some info from someone inside VSONIC saying the project didn't go through...

***EDIT*** Here you have the source of the GR09 rumour: http://www.inearmatters.net/2011/10/vsonic-more-to-come.html

Oh, and just one other thing, I'm yet to be sure that the FB page supposedly owned by VSONIC is really mainted by VSONIC, ie, chinese IEM manufacturer, or if it's just Lendmeurears (or someone else) behind it... wink.gif

Well, it wasn't me that said that said it isn't happening according to them (it was the user scootsit), I only helped you to find where it was posted...

IMHO, both of these products are only ideas for the future. When I asked my source a few months ago about the GR09, she didn't really know what I was talking about, so that's what I'm basing my thoughts on.

BTW, If I'm right, ClieOS found out about all of these future models (that he mentioned on his post on In-Ear-Matters) on VSonic's Chinese website, which has more info in it.

If I remember correctly, there was a post on their website, which contained names of products planned for 2013-2014 release. If I'll find it, I'll put here a link later.

I mean, they may well come out, but when a company tells you to "not get your hopes up", I would think it best to, well, not get your hopes up. Which is to say, "anticipation" threads may not be timely or appropriate.

I'm sorry if I was a bit harsh with my response to your post! It wasn't my intention. Just take that Vsonic FB page with a pinch of salt... beerchug.gif

Why not? For me, information is power! The more, the better! biggrin.gif

But like I said before, place yourself on the shoes of any company, what you would want is for your costumers to buy the products you have in the market now, and not be holding off their purchase and waiting for some future product! This might explain some of those possible disinformation tactics that are commonly used by companies... wink.gif

Nah, it's ok man, didn't think it was harsh. I'll try to ask my source if that page is really VSonic's or not.

I guess that's true, but I'm not sure it applies. Anything they make, a long line of head-fiers will gladly gobble up. Given the projected costs of these (the 007 was supposedly in the ~$1000 range), they're really not competing with themselves, and if you can afford the $1000 IEM, you can also probably afford the $300 IEM. My point is just that, if they were going to release them in the next year or two, they'd actually want to hype them, because if they can really make an electrostatic IEM, it will likely enhance the value of the brand as a whole.

I think you're a bit wrong there... You see, the market outside of China pretty much doesn't matter for VSONIC! Their goal as a company is to be the #1 IEM manufacturer in China, so the rest of the world is marginal to them. Maybe this will change in the future, but even now Head-Fi is invisible for them. But for the rest, I also agree with you...

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your post... And since when is the Yuin OK1 an IEM?!? rolleyes.gif

1000

Since always ! smile.gif Don't understand what Kiteki is really getting at otherwise. Regardless of the fakes, China is the IEM making capital of the world and that is probably the place to be king or soon will be. The place for fakes and OEM's is now well on the way towards becoming more known for legitimate and serious earphones and earphone brands.
