PC Speakers under $200

I'm open to suggestions for my next laptop speaker. I was looking into Audioengine A2 and Sony DB500, and almost hit the order button last night... But they are a bit pricey, idk I want something that lasts and worthwhile. I really liked Audioengine A2 (White), but not sure if it warrants $200 price tag. Keep in mind that I'm living in dorms and space is very limited. I would prefer a bookshelf size speaker that can sit nicely on my desk. A subwofer is fine, I will just put it under my desk. Thanks for your time!

You could put together a nice 2.1 for $200 , speakers http://www.amazon.com/Samson-MediaOne-Precision-tuned-Powered-Monitors/dp/B0019R8U7I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332188140&sr=8-1 much better than the a2's in my opinion , sub http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-SUB-80-Series-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B000I7VQAS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332188190&sr=8-2
