Apple Touch v Classic sound

Thread Starter
My Classic was stolen. Should I replace it with another Classic or a Touch?

My main concern is quality of sound. Is there any truth to some reports that the Classic sounds better, presumably because it is simpler and has fewer electronics to screw up the sound?

Thanks for any quick responses from those who have actual experience with both.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have a similar question!

In my case I had a 5th generation 30GB iPod classic that I need to replace, and I don't know what to do.

I'm really interested in reading the answers :)
