Here's a nice pair of HD650s in excellent condition (can't find any blemishes myself) and they work perfectly.  They've not seen much use by me (2nd owner?) & selling mostly because I went wild & bought some T1s:)  These are from a smoke-free environment.

 

They've the newer "silver" drivers which do make a positive difference IMO (I did own a pair w/the older black drivers at one time).   Senns with the newer, silver/white drivers sound brighter & more crisp to me, no "veil" that was associated with the older black drivers.

Stock cable, 1/4 -> 1/8 adapter, paper work & boxes as shown - also in excellent condition.  Will ship double-boxed.

 

Payment is instant PayPal from verified/confirmed member w/good trader feedback.  I'll cover paypal fees & CONUS USPS Priority shipping with delivery track at my asking price.  If buyer wants insurance they pay for that.   See my perfect feedback here & in the archive cfcubed thread as well.

Why were the drivers swapped? Did the old ones have issues or was it just an upgrade?

The drivers weren't swapped or replaced BTW, I'm just saying they are 2008+ HD650s & have Senn's newer driver design, you can read about that here: http://www.headfonia.com/sennheiser-hd650-600-and-580-updated-drivers/

I, like many, prefer the sound of the "new" drivers vs the old.

 

Perhaps you re-read the listing or researched enough because as we know you're the cans' new owner:)
