We'll soon see about that my friend. devil_face.gif

How do these compare to the DBA 02 MKII? I have heard that they have more micro detail and are thinner in sound, but some people say that they are a little bit on the warm side. Which ones should I get? Also, there is a price difference between the two, on Top Dog Headphones, the DBA 02 MKII are 119 euros while the R-50 are only 80 euros.

The R-50 has better highs with a more crisp sound with better sparkle yet its not fatiguing either.  The mids are a touch forward from time to time depending of the music and I like the over all texture of the R-50 more.  They also have a bit wider soundstage with equally good depth and the imaging is also a bit better than the DBA-02 MKII but both have the same separation.

Now the things the R-50 does better isn't like they way better because both have what I'd call the same SQ its just the R-50 does a few things a bit better imo.

Have you ever experienced sibilance with the R-50's

No not all as long as the recording you use are good, with a bad recorded song or low bit rate mp3 's then they might have some sibilance but I've never had any sibilance or harshness.  The highs are very good being bright but not fatiguing and I could listen to them for hours no problem.

Mine should be here within the hour. smile.gif

TechnoKid, if you had to say Rockit R-50 had a flaw or a downside what would that be?

I'd say as far as the sound they only thing I can think of is more bass impact and depth.  The bass quality is great but if they had a bit more quantity then they'd be about perfect.

With build quality if they weren't just made of platic and the housing were made from say aluminium like the X10 they'd be great but all in all the build quality isn't that bad and the silicone cover over the housing helps to keep the IEM's from braking.

Your going to like them a lot H20 trust me and I really do think they blow the H-100 away in over all SQ with the same amount of detail and with mids that are much fuller and don't sound like they're a 1/4 mile away. bigsmile_face.gif

Well, my R-50 arrived I'm not going to lie I don't like them.

Not sure whether I'm simply accustom to T-Peos H-100, I'm just going to say it how I hear it.

I think I prefer a colder signature because these sound muffled and smeared compared the transparency I find in H-100. The mids and vocals on R-50 are less grainy, they arent missing the lower mid support which is nice but the whole signature is rather thin and congested . Again like everything else I've tried since the T-Peos a lower resolution or my favourite saying someone stuffed some tissue in the nozzels, I'm not sure what I'm missing. If this is what a $119 IEM sounds like H-100 sounds as stated like a $300+ IEM. I've tried all my sources and I'm sorry to tell NoGood but these do not pair with C3 very well as yet. These have nothing on H-100 IMO.

I mean no offence to anyone but these are not what I was expecting so far .

I took this risk because of ClieOS and ljokers reviews and impressions, I'm not sure what I'm missing. If this is what a $119 IEM sounds like H-100 sounds as stated like a $300+ IEM. I really think I'm missing something because these are not my cup of tea at all. No way!

I'll spend some time with them but these are gone as quick as they arrived.

I really don't understand how you can like the H-100 over the R-50.  I think the R-50 has better over all detail because of how horrible the H-100's mids are and the R-50's highs which are crisp but not harsh and sibilant like the H-100 and the soundstage is more cohesive on the R-50.

I don't think you should write them off after 30 minutes or so of listening.  After the first day with the SM3 I was really thinking about selling them but now they the best IEM I've heard.

You must have some very unique hearing my friend because the R-50 is one of my all time favorites and the T-Peos H-100 is honestly the worst IEM I've ever heard that costs over $100 and that's no joke either.  To each there own I guess but this is really crazy to me.

I think the reason he likes them is because he listens solely to Electronic music and Britney Spears.

The T-peos mids are nasal and basically non-existent, leaving only the treble and bass. This lack of fullness in the mids gives him the illusion of "clarity." Any iem with a somewhat present midrange will sound muffled to him.

I'm going to give them some more time and feel bad about being so harsh...... My problem is I can hear all the detail, I can hear all the quality underneath what sounds like a blanket, this isn't just R-50 it's all IEM since trying the H-100. I'm not trying to talk H-100 up here not at all. Because believe me it's very frustrating trying other gear and having this sensation, and the first listen completely shocks me every time. So lets' calm down (well me) and let me spend some time with them and only them.

Me and H20 have been chating  with PM's and he's starting to like the R-50 more.  I think because he's coming from such a bright in your face IEM with the H-100 that its going to take time before his brain can adjust to the warmer smoother sound of the R-50.
