The R-50 is all the way around a better sounding IEM, more detailed with better clarity and a larger soundstage with better separation and imaging.  The SE215 has more bass impact but that's it, the R-50 has very clean bass but its not as impactful as a dynamic driver, its more of a flat bass response.

Thanks, After shipping to where I am, I would end up paying like $140 for the R-50 vs $100 for the SE215s locally, I'll take a look around here at what is on sale to see if I ever see one used for less than $100

Btw, thanks for the thread and all the impressions, has been really fun and helpful reading it

Hey, recent R-50 owner here. I have a bit of concern about the build quality, because my right ear piece has become very loose where it meets the memory wire, while the left side is still pretty tight with the joint at the memory wire.

Could this potentially my IEMs in the long run?

Im planning to buy an portable external dac/amp for my S3, anyone know which would make a good pair for these iems? Hoping it could be below $200.

The FiiO E17 is a good portable dac/amp for $139 through Amazon.

Also, you might want to research in this thread before you buy: http://www.head-fi.org/t/595071/android-phones-and-usb-dacs/1200#post_8991952. It has a discussion of which USB DACs are working working with the Android USB audio output.

Anybody tried it with the clip+ and the colorfly c3? Any review/info would be really nice :D

You can always cut the memory wire with scissors to get a better fit but you need to be very carefull doing that.

Mine was like that also but nothing ever happened and they worked great when I sold them.

Just to try out other IEM's, I do that a lot with IEM's I like because I'm always wanting to hear other ones but I'll go back and get some of the ones I sold that I really liked someday like the R-50 and a couple others.  You never know what other IEM's might sound better so I end up selling a lot of my IEM's, the only pair I wont sale is the SM3 V2 because that's pretty much my perfect IEM.  I probably have sold around 25 IEM's this past year and that helps fund other IEM purchases.

My pair will be arriving tomorrow. smile.gif I was just given the express tracking number.

Enjoy them because the R-50 sound much better than those T-Peos H-100 things people seem to like for some reason. wink_face.gif

Nice to know that especially that the T Peos are more expensive.

Can't wait to hear H20Fidelity first impressions  about the R50 with the C3 and a little comparison with the T Peos H100 :D
