Rockit Sounds R-50 Reviews and Impressions - Page 9

Thank you Jupiterknight and Techno Kid!

The info that you provided was just what I needed to know.  I have another question.  Was the tracking service effective all the way to the delivery destination?

If you give me the tracking number, I can find out for myself. That is if you don't mind, but I would know then where you live. basshead.gif

Anyway, I just need to know how far the tracking goes and how good it is between Hong Kong and the destination address in the US.

Regards.

Thank you for your trust.

That is excellent tracking all the way!  I can see it went through customs and obviously was not retained there for you to pick it up, but kept moving on.  Was this a signature required delivery?

Also, it seems that this was not the normal mail service.  That should be the reason why it got to you so quickly and was perfectly tracked from departure to arrival.

Yes, I think that I had to sign for it, but I'm not 100% certain!

OK.

How about you Techno Kid.  Do you remember if yours was a signature required delivery?

Yeah I think i'd at least do that when I get them. From what I gather in this thread, they retain the clarity of the B2's with a warmer touch. I'm assuming the highs and treble will be rolled off a bit to be smoother. I'm curious though, has anyone tried to fit the Shure Olive tips on a pair of R-50's?

Sounds perfect!

I hope so, because then i'd gladly sell my B2's and keep these!

The Shure Olive tips will fit, but personally I don't think they bring out the optimal sound of the R-50.  I encourage you to try different tips to find your particular preference of presentation that matches up with the music you listen to and your source, since it's all an individual experience and this includes no right or wrongs :-)

Techno Kid and Jupiterknight:

I ordered the R-50 from Amazon.com on the same day that I asked you questions concerning the workings of the delivery process.  I ordered them to be delivered via the US address.  All the details that you gave, such as the tracking number and package dimensions, were quite helpful to make the best choice for the order and delivery routes.

Thank you.

Good deal, lets us know what you think about them.

@Alberto01 You're welcome, hope it works out for you and that the arrive at you destination quickly so you can share your thoughts on how you perceive them. I hope that you will like them. I certainly do and now have more time to use these as my main IEM since my W4 will be out of my hands for a couple of weeks and I have no problems with that.  The R-50 gives me plenty of sound quality from the way Rock-It "tweaked" the Knowles TWFK dual armature driver and for a very reasonable price that I feel I'm not missing out on too much in the transition time.

Guys, is there any of you comparing the R50 to the DBA02mk2? Thanks
