The R-50 is more lively plus a touch brighter not by much though and has a little bit more detail and a larger sounstage.  The EPH-100's bass has a bit more impact and its mids aren't quite as detailed but both have a good 3D presentation.  I like both but over all the R-50 is technically better with more micro detail, where I'd give the EPH-100 a 9.1 out of 10 the R-50 would be a 9.3.

I'm very impressed with the R-50 right now, they have a wonderful sound and are extremely detailed yet still very smooth.  The treble is perfect imo because it extends very well with great detail but never fatiguing more so than any other IEM I have.  I'm gonna do a over all review tonight.

Anyways, what are the stated specs on the box? I'm guessing: 43 ohms, 108 dB @1kHz?

 

I'm trying to compile the information for my chart project: Chart of BA-based IEMs

No but I've sent them an email a few days ago to ask them to put them on their site so hopefully they will.  The prices for the other Ba's, R-20 $39.99 and the R-30 $69.99.

I wanted to see how some of jokers reviews of other TWFK's compare to how I hear the R-50 and the way he describes the Vsonics GR01 sounds a lot like how I hear the R-50.  So these could be about a $100 cheaper alternative to the GR01's, would love for joker to review these and compare the 2.

Nice review.  I'm actually really glad to hear that you enjoy them as much as I have the past couple of weeks.  I do believe that "Rock It" did a really great job "tuning" the TWFK driver in a more popular way that I believe will many will like and that these tiny IEM's should deserve more attention here on HF, excellent sound quality at a budget price, isn't that what most of us are looking for?

 

I have exchanged a couple of emails with "Rock It" about their products and I also expressed interest in hearing more about their background etc. but I never received an answer regarding the last question.

I have been thinking the same, aka GR01 vs. R-50. I actually gave them links to this thread and also encouraged them to send review units to joker etc. if they had an interest in the possibility to  reach out to larger group of consumers!

Thanks, and I to have sent a few emails to them asking about certain things and got a couple back, one was about my tracking number but Rocky did say to post some comments about them on they're blog that you can get to from the Rockit Sounds site.  The other was about why they can sell the R-50 so cheap and he said because the don't really do any marketing its manly word of mouth so they save quite a bit of money and the consumer reaps the benefits.

Are the cable earguides removable? I assume not based on your pictures. And if it's not too much trouble can you remove the outer plastic casing and take a picture of it bare in comparison to any of your other earphones to get a feel for its size?
