Looks like a less pretty knock off of a AMX/3...  But there were only a handful of those prototypes ever made.... :(    It is very nice looking for a 1970's supercar.

Not to mention that coal isn't really "clean."

lol. Sort of on this topic - I know one of the stunt-divers from the original Hawaii Five-O (the one with Jack Lord). She's probably one of the most straight-laced people you'll ever meet too.

Also, since we're talking quintessential 70s and 80s - why has nobody brought up DMC?

And those gull-wing doors...This is one car that looked fast, no matter how slow it was....maybe someone can put a better engine in it...

 

Yeah, even in "Back To The Future", it looked like they had trouble getting up to 88 mph...lol.

The eighties sports cars had charm....  Even the little fox body mustang had some.   I just helped if you didn't mind edges, or boxes.

 

I loved the datsuns from the early to mid 70's.  The old toyota coupes from the early 70s looked like pocket sized muscle cars.  Old J-tin is pretty cool.   Then in the eighties you had the audi qauttro coupe, the e30 bmws, the ae86 corrola, aw11 mr2, the fc3s RX-7, the porsche 944, the delorean, the countach.... the list goes on and on.  Modified versions of any of those can really knock your socks off visually.  

 

Once I even saw a fastback Fiero GT that was nice looking although that was probably mere coincidence.

Anyone remember the "Junk" they used to build in the province next to mine?

Yeah, there was a guy with a Bricklin in my small town. That's another one that looked more like a kit car than a real car.

Speaking of kit cars, the King of the 70's kit car had to be the Bradley GT...

You're still trying to convince me about that Pantera, aren't you?

OK - I take back the "looks like a kit car" comment. But I can still think of other cars I would rather have that are powered by a 351C. The '70-72 'Stang, Cougar & Torino are certainly much less exotic than the Pantera, but for some reason they just appeal to me more. It might just be an age thing - those cars were very popular when I was in high school because they were 6-8 years old, and although the "best" engine combinations were rare, there were plenty of examples of reasonably priced mainstream models available at most used car lots.

It ain't wearing no fancy Eye-talian suit, but I still think it's purrty...

Well in Australia insurance cost more then an arm and an leg if you are under 25 not to mention you have to be on a P plate for 4 years I think? and on your P plates they have a terrible system of not letting you drive certain cars that has 8 cylinders and above or if it uses forced induction. Nice forthcoming acquisition, MM! I'm listening with my HD 800 for the first time in around half a week and was just about to ask you if you have heard it when I saw this. Great headphone, what clarity! 

looking at the picture rendition makes you music sound clearer

I don't understand your above response, but I feel very grateful to be listening with my HD 800 as I type this. I muchly recommend it as a truly first-class headphone, one of the very finest I have yet heard.

 

My admiration for the HD 800 - in addition to its immensely revealing sonic performance - increased a lot when I read its manual, which presents Sennheiser's meticulous attention to detail in the creation of the HD 800.
