Got TONS of catch-up to do... bear with me guys.
Ooh, pretty.
Ooh, also pretty.
Actually that blue is downright gorgeous.
+1 Yes, that. Get that. At some point, you gotta feed the soul.
You have NO idea what kind of insightful commentary I can make about that. Well, if not insightful, at least humorous. But it's probably better not to go there publicly.
Have family there, but I'm with you on that one.
Yup, the red is definitely better. Red Ferraris are like blood-stained swords... visible evidence of it's victims' fate.
I've almost got it to the point where I'm able to look past them and ignore them... almost.

I'd take the older F1 over the new P1 abomination in a heartbeat.

Regarding the Ferraris and so on, the last MR they made that really made me go "oooh" was either the F40 or the 512TR, but I've really liked the FR models they've put out since then (the 458, 612, 550, 575, etc). Looked at the 550 California for example?

I agree - The P1 looks like they have decided that they aren't actually going to sell any of them, so they might as well just design one directly for the plastic scale model market.

So I went ahead and did up my config for a 458 Spider and sent it to the sales people to get a quote and some info.
I was told the earliest possible delivery date was November... of 2013. hahaha
So unless I want to wait over a year, I'm gonna have to look into dealer stock. There are no 458 Spiders in red or yellow in north America. So, I guess that's that.
However, I can get a new MP4-12C Spider, for $40k less, right now (or rather, they'll take my order and start building the car now). Meaning I'd have it by year end. It's starting to look more attractive, and I think the spyder is prettier than the coupe.
You took the words right out of my mouth!

No offense taken at all.

I founds pictures:
The one I saw looked closer to photo #1. Cadillac says it turns better than 550hp. Moar here: http://www.cadillac.com/2012-cts-v-luxury-wagon.html (looks like you can have your people hauler and 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, and a wagon; I kind of want this to compliment my current...toy...).
It looked very much like that. idk, I liked it, but my aesthetic is...unique.

Yeah I'd take anything over waiting until 14 months from now. No interest in their FR cars? (I haven't looked at Ferraris in like two years, so for all I know every single model I rattled off is no longer in production, especially given that the one you're talking about I've never heard of).
No luck on the GT40?

Yeah, but I've been busy lately so i gotta chime in at the end of a topic these days...
It should stay a rendering. Not all concepts should be made...
Speaking of, does anyone else here think the the Cadillac Sixteen should have gone into production? For some reason, I think it is just the business. And I could totally see Magick in one of those.
Did you by any chance like the Dodge Magnum as well?
Okay, but if you didn't have to carry more than you and the wife, would you then consider the coupe? The sedan (or saloon) is great, but the coupe looks absolutely artistic IMO.

Wow, that is a long time. But then again, that's kind of par for the course with Ferraris as I understand it. By the time one takes delivery, there's a new FOTM. Feel bad for all those people that had orders placed for F430s watching the Italia get rolled out.

For some reason the first sentence, before I'd even seen the second sentence, made me think of the Sixteen and I was going to post about it. So I'll just reply to your post: YES!

No, actually. But I did try to convince my cousin to create a Tomahawk clone out of a dirt-bike frame (originally we were going to use a dirt-trike but there is not enough liquor in the world to make that sound like a good idea) and 357 small-block - we couldn't think of anyone insane enough (while sober) to test drive it for us though. I know it's unrelated, but it was a funny story that I thought of.
I think the reasoning for liking the CTS-V wagon is more that it's a "hearse from hell" than the boxy Magnum-esque aesthetic.

I can understand why you would feel that way, but I have trouble feeling bad for anyone receiving a new Ferrari....whether it is still the previous year's model, or not.
Then again, the fastest car I ever owned was a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba with a two-barrel 318....sadly, it was not in anywhere near as nice condition as this one was in,
and I am in no way as smooth as the legendary spokesman in this video.

LOL, yeah it seems like the natural extension. We were talking about Cadillacs, seems like a logical jump.
Mostly just us dudes here, and the Force is strong with us. I'm not sure why the Sixteen is so captivating to me. It almost harkens back to an era gone by.

Just to be clear on this... this is a cousin you DON'T like right?
Right. Like it's not sitting around waiting for you to die. It's got **** to do later, so it's straight up comin' to get you.
Well, it's a purchasable item like any other - it just happens to cost more. Just because people who typically buy Ferraris live a more comfortable lifestyle, doesn't mean that they should have to wait an inordinately long time right? Rich or poor, young or old, male or female, it will always suck monkey balls having to wait a long time for gratification - for anything - the object itself is almost immaterial I think.

I like that era of concepts.
According to wiki the sixteen did ~1000hp and 20 mpg too.

No. Like I said, we couldn't find a good patsy to try riding the thing after we built it.

Exactly!
