He's wrecked it 3 times.
At least he's not like most and takes it out and enjoys it. Stupid me, I had a chance to purchase one over 2 years ago, but the $3M price made me flinch. I'm still kicking myself, because now it's worth closer to 6.
However, there is a small hope. The F1 GTRs are being converted for street use now, they're former racers getting refreshed by McLaren (sound matting, carpet, A/C, etc.). They'll cost less because they have a lot of miles on them, but since they're so well taken care of, and definitely broken-in, they may actually be better drivers. Estimated pricing is at $3-4M, a relative bargain.

It "only" has 195hp, but it doesn't need any more, it's perfect as it is. The shifter is amazing, very precise with tactile "clicks" when changing gears. We didn't push her hard, not really. It handled a little "darty" at first, 100% R&P steering w/ 1.5 turns from L2L, but before long it was second nature. The ride is firm but not harsh, very race inspired, "taut" is the word that comes to mind. And the music, like an angry hornet shoved down the horn of a bugle. Whoo! They don't build cars like this anymore, and it's a damned shame.
