I see things getting so much worse, and it starts with attitudes and ends with violence. I have to raise a child in this... part of me wants to immigrate to Monaco. It's tempting.

Well, I was on the news, I wasn't but the incident was. I guess the media couldn't reach me, due to them not having my number, but they did get my lawyer and he told them we had no comment on the situation. The perp has a history of violent and psychotic behavior (he's been arrested 3 times before for assault) and is being held for psychological evaluation before charges are filed. Dang, this is a trip. I talked with the detective and I'm trying to get a copy of the video, because I want to watch it. It very well could be the single most bad-ass thing I've ever done with witnesses. wink.gif


Everyone is so quiet, the last 24 hours has been the slowest I've seen online in a long time. blink.gif

Ha! He's a multi-time loser. Told ya so!! And the fact that he's a known psychotic means you have nothing to worry about - he won't try to sue anyone.

With any luck, maybe they'll turn him over to Nurse Ratched for a little electroshock & a frontal lobotomy.

I love watching RC stuff, but getting into it is new levels of hobby insanity. lol Check this out.



Yeah, the title revisions are fun, I'll probably do it once /month, like the TMAC guys change avatars.

Microturbines have revolutionized the RC world. And, microturbines are also being used for generating electric power - and even in place of the small gas engines in hybrid electric cars. That is a really cool idea - the car doesn't need a big turbine like in the old Chrysler Turbine, it just needs one big enough to charge the batteries.

One of the really cool things about turbines is that they can burn pretty much anything as fuel. Heating oil, kerosene, bio-diesel, natural gas or cow farts - as long as it can be pumped and has a decent energy/lb when burned, it will probably work. In a turbine, the fuel is simply used to feed the burner. The more energy released when a pound of fuel is burned, the more efficient the engine is at converting that fuel into power to run a generator. Once the fire is lit, you just feed the flame - no fancy ignition timing or combustion chamber geometries are needed. Also very good for discouraging tailgaters - just dump a little raw fuel into the jet exhaust to create an afterburner - and you can send a 10 foot flame out the back of your car. Now, if they could just get the noise problem licked...

Yeah, using them for charging batteries is a good idea. They're not as good for directly driving the car though, but through a motor, I think it can be done.
