Aye. And relatively expensive as hell to maintain if you have to live with a TDI or other turbo. They're not the "value people's car" that they were in the 1970s. They've become more of a hipster icon, like Subaru.

I think Ford & Chevy are both making good cars right now. The Focus & Fusion are a little buzzy, but not bad. I want to look at the Cruze again too. Subaru seems to be a bit pricey - I think they are making very nice cars and I do like their motor, but I think they need to drop their prices by at least $5K if they want to enter the mainstream. Part of the problem might be that our local Subaru dealer is very small - I probably need to go visit a larger dealer to see a larger selection. I know the local guy doesn't have a BRZ in inventory, and only has 1 or 2 WRX.

My daughter has mentioned she likes the Honda CRV. I'm no longer sure she is my child... tongue.gif

BTW, remember the guy who was trying to sell me that yellow 458? He's still bugging me, and lowering his price, so I'm going to pitch him a number and see if he bites. One of the things I griped about, so much CF tape on the car, he had removed, so I think it's more attractive. 2011, 800 miles on it, it's pretty basic for what it is, not many options, which is rare.

They can lift it as much as they want - its still a Civic.

And I agree on the Subies - a few years ago they were good deals, like VW, but they've tried too hard to put iPride and blackframes onto wheels.

On the Italian - I dig it. Looks good in yellow.

He took it, he took the offer! I can't believe it, I'm stunned. Hooray for a recessed economy! (Not really, of course, but it was a good deal.) wink.gif I'm f***ing stoked! Have I gone crazy? No. See, despite what others may think, this is the time to buy, before the new year and the economy does a huge bounce due to the fiscal changes in the works. Then, luxury products are going to skyrocket, mark my words.

And, it appears I'm going to be a daddy. smily_headphones1.gif No, Mrs Magick isn't preggers, thank the gods. We're adopting a little girl who is distantly related to my wife, the child's parents aren't in a position to care for her due to... umm... legal complications. She's 9 months old and we're hacking through the red tape, but we should have her by week's end. eek.gif WTF? Which end do you put the diaper on?

The cruze is a daewoo I believe........

Have you negotiated? I went to an audi and they gave us 10 k off sticker even though we wernt  serious........... wink.gif maybe a runout audi like the Q5?

AND, billy, did you know you can get a low miles 2004 Volkswagen W12 Phaeton for $15k? That used to be a $100k car. 450bhp!
