This might work well for the eco-lovers, but I don't see it as anything more than that.  

 

For those worried about the noise, electric motors at those specs produce a hell of a whine. 

 

Assuming that the battery performance is increased in the coming years, where do we get the electricity from? Do we have enough of it to power every car? Maybe something like Tesla's superchargers, but I'm not sure how much power can it provide per day.

Well, depending on the track layout, regenerative braking can recover some of the energy used for acceleration, but certainly not all of it.

Hey, you never know!  I thought Audi was out of their minds when they wanted to build diesel grand prix cars...

Drive-By-Wire. Makes sense. Kind of terrifying if it fails, but I doubt it's anywhere near as bad as the Vista-mobile.

lol vista ain't half bad if you got Vista 64 Bit Ultimate and a SSD ;). I actually liked it but still prefer my Windows 7 64  bit :). Can't really see it working out on a phone though lol. Would need at least 4 gigs of ram on the phone lol :P.

No I meant the use of electric cars in the daily sense.

 

The whole point of EV Racing is to get it mainstream, to have the "trickle down" effect of high performance innovation to regular and affordable use.

 

I reckon if all the cars running in the world were to go electric, we wouldn't have enough electricity to power half of them.

Well time to save up :P 

 

Of course we all prefer the looks of the lambo... even if the late 70's countach had no forward, rear, left, or right vision, seats that make life difficult for anyone over 5' 9",  windows that won't roll down more than a few inches and no A/C.  You are right though if someone offered me a choice I would take the old impractical Countach and just drive short distances.  :D The newer Lamborghini's fixed most of those issues, but the countach is just so unique.

 

What country are you from.   Unless your from N.Korea there should be some nice cool cars around.  If you're in the old soviet bloc just steal whatever you want and save the money for bribes.  j/k

Back in the 80's I used to see a woman on the roads around me that drove a bright yellow Countach. A friend of mine lived near her and told me that she was a very successful stuntwoman for TV & movies. That made perfect sense - I imagine it would be pretty much impossible for her to get any kind of insurance, and in that case, you might as well drive a Countach...
