I feel like this is either a set-up for something, or that there's a larger question hiding behind it.

Yeah - was just wondering if you had something else in mind for discussion.

To the original question, I would say "of course" - but it isn't entirely innocent. Issues of relatively trivial importance are projected as "the most important question of the century" quite frequently by institutionalized sources, and it does a great job of obscuring things that might be unpleasant or undesirable to address, but that certainly *need* to be addressed. And sure you can look at a variety of causes to explain this in part or in full, and a variety of interested parties who don't want to see the situation change, but those factors don't really alter the end-result.

The focus of our intellect really needs an assessment. I feel we're getting squeezed 'inwards' rather than 'outwards'. 

I was really disappointed by CES, most products were for amusement.

Well back to the C7... I rather like it, but the rear I can't fully appreciate. Front looks brilliant, but I don't like the two-tone scheme they did with the roof, A-Pillar, and B-Pillar (I think? Not too sure which pillars are which). I can't see if it's CF though, but if it was CF, I guess I would understand more.

In general, humans can't handle the "big questions" - so we try to tackle the little tactical questions that appear to actually have answers for us to find. In that context, all technical problems can be considered "little tactical questions". The Big Questions like world peace, feeding the hungry, and the nature of time, the universe and everything are (so far) beyond our ability to even define properly, let alone solve. As small as the world seems to us as we type to each other from our respective corners of the globe, the world is still a very big place. Getting even a small percentage of the 7 B-B-Billion people to move in the same direction on *anything* is a monumental task.

Thats true, but we should be atleast putting our minds on solving these issues. On the whole, whats the overall effort of humanity amounting to?  

 

I think we just don't understand or know what we want to do in the first place.

To get back to the Corvette, how's the handling on this one? 

Every time I see a Corvette in Top Gear, its doing burn-outs all over the track. tongue.gif

On cars.com, searching the entire USA, there are only 23 NSX listed. There's only 9 on eBay. Compare that to the Ferrari 458, where there are 111 Italia + 6 Spyders on cars.com and 30 on eBay. Based on that, the NSX is a bargain! smily_headphones1.gif I'm guessing most NSX sales happen through specialty dealers.

Waiting in line for the interior to be reupholstered. They do it by hand, one at a time, the same way they were originally made with the same type and grade of leather. "They will tan no hide before its time."
