In my mind, and the minds of hypercar shoppers (Paris Hilton excluded), it's much like bringing a knife to a gun fight. They see it as a plush GT-R, and that's not a good thing. Aston-Martin seems to be about the only car maker (and perhaps Bentley) that can wave off performance numbers and say "it's sexy, to hell with your calculator", everyone else has to work for it.
I love my Vanquish S. It's a blunt instrument; sucks down gas, isn't particularly reliable, burbles and farts like a happy drunk when at idle, and is about as easy to drive in traffic as a bobsled (exaggerating), but it's awesome and sexy. For looks and sound there's nothing else like it in the world.
I completely agree. And no, it has nothing to do with gender either - I can't put my finger on it though.
