Quite the opposite :(

I think he bought it for me to drive until I got my Licence - maybe it was instrumental in me later having a Lotus 7 for my daily drive.

Oh - I had a vision in my head of your Dad cruising around town in that little thing, not caring that everyone else in town was staring and shaking their head... tongue.gif

Were they common down under? Wikipedia says they made a lot them. I've never seen one in my part of the world.

Was in England, but still not common. He used to use it to go on fishing trips after I graduated to 4 wheels - quite a hoot doing 3 wheel drifts  at 70mph around sweeping bends in the rain (me not my dad) :D

edit: maybe it was just the back wheel that was "drifting"

Dad had a '57 Chevy 2 door................sold it for $25.   Long before I was old enough to stop him.................

My father-in-law also had a great car, a 1968 T-Bird with a 429 and suicide doors.

Similar to this...

He was an old hot rodder, and I'm sure he had other cool cars when he was a kid, but my wife doesn't have any pictures and never listened to any of his stories. I think he and his brother also did some dirt track racing. Both his son and his grandsons are also dirt track racers.

How much have you ended up having to fabricate yourselves?
