Yes, they will be back soon.

So Mazda and Alfa Romeo are no longer jointly developing a Miata derivative for the latter brand, but it actually sounds like good news since the project has been transferred to the FIAT brand and Alfa will be making its own roadster. Thoughts?

AFIAK, the roadster will be a Mazda and FIAT collaboration now and Alfa will be going in a different direction, I believe the price is going to be too low to wear an Alfa badge (@$30,000 US).

The Alfa Spider would be too expensive to be badged as a Mazda. As Magick said, the Spider would be at least $40000 USD with a V6, longer and wider than the Miata too. They are an absolute joy to drive though. The wife is considering getting the Spider or the E Class Wagon.

Dunno about you folks,, but I'd give a lot to see an upadted X 1/9 with 2 litres of ooomph behind it:)

The Alfa Spider has a 3.2 Quad Cam V6 WITH 250bhp. Not sure if it would be a successor to the X1/9.

I was thinking the FIAT/Mazda end not the Alfa end.

I have fond memories of push-starting a friend's X1/9 every time it would strand him - which seemed to be about once a week... tongue.gif

Yup. It and the 850 Spider sent many a mechanic to the nut house.

Pity. The X 1/9 will always be the epitome of the "car that could have been so much more".

https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/44037/product/philips-over-ear-hifi-stereo-headphones-332393/ Yeap found it........

But is the mod just adding a piece of felt under the earpads or is it harder? If it is only adding a piece of felt I might just manage to not screw it up magnificently.........

I am equalizing the Philips with great results.Might not need the mods anymore.

What sort of Sound sig is it stock?

Neutral side of things. I have nodded it by putting a piece of felt on the drivers as Magick said but haven't done the mod where you need to get the felt in the sides of the earpads. I use Equalizer APO with the Peace GUI, a very good parametric EQ that works system wide i.e all the sound through your system is equalized which can be great for taming sibilance or boominess in a DAC or Amplifier.
