So far I believe it's just direct purchases in the U.S., but there are a few UK vendors who've already come online. In the next couple months we'll probably see more U.S. vendors, especially when the PM-2 goes into production.

I got my Samsung S5 today. I haven't really played with it much - just barely got is set-up for email, wi-fi, GPS, etc. So far, so good...

Now the fun begins....learning all the ways you can set it up exactly the way you want it, and what you can do with it. :L3000:

I have a Razr that's getting a little long in the tooth at about a year and a half old, so I've put Lightning Launcher and Naked Browser on there, with a marked improvement in overall speed, battery life, and multitasking ability. It's made me happy enough to resist the urge to upgrade before my contract runs out.

I need to check the Samsung out, you going to root it? I think my next phone may be the Oppo Find 7a, the specs for that thing are nucking futs.

Remember Mosler and the MT900S? Apparently values on them have gone into the toilet. Sure, they're defunct in the USA, but they're still pretty magnificent cars. Right? Anyway, we found a 2010 (the LS7 variety) for sale, with 3,200 miles on it, for get this, $120k (listed at 130k but we talked them down). Are they stoned? blink.gif

Also T-12 hours until the Zonda returns to the USA. /jitterbug

I probably will not root the S5 - it's a company phone, and I need to use it to test corporate apps before they go out to the field. One of the apps we're looking at is a new travel & expense app that is pretty cool. When you use a company credit card to buy something, you immediately receive an email that reminds you to take a picture of the receipt. The picture is uploaded and an OCR scan reads the receipt and then automatically links it on your expense report to the credit card charge on the company card. The charge is already correctly categorized as a meal, hotel, rental car or whatever and all you need to do is verify and submit it to be routed to your manager for approval.

Perhaps they know something about Mosler you do not?

Paddle fingers? Nope, it still has the stick. My minion went all the way to Italy to make sure that what was sent back was exactly what was supposed to be... and to bring back 5lbs of real prosciutto, Toscano, and sopressata, and a fat porchetta.

I've been waiting for the Oppo Find 7 since it was announced 6 months ago, I heard about it before I even knew about the Oppo headphones.

5 lbs?? Cheapskate:) You'll be lucky if that survives the flight.

Well in the east Oppo is known mainly for its cellphones and accesories so that actually might be the smart bet. From what I glean the Entertainment Electronics division is a different branch all together. So the quality and function of one device may not be indicative of the other. We really wont know jack until this stuff hits the real (ie not selected shills) market here and end users start reporting in.

I'm still curious as to the Oppo vs Fostex in the new planar market (the under 5 grand market that is:))

I've always loved Oppo's smartphone offerings, but I know nothing about finding carriers who will provide coverage for an unsupported manufacturer's phones. Are there cell carriers in the U.S. who still allow it?
