I love Lucra as a company, but they haven't been the best at pulling off the whole "modern adaptation of classic race cars" thing in terms of styling.

I had never heard of Lucra until now.

Yeah, I've heard of Lucra, but it's largely just another kit car maker. However, this one is made of CF and aluminum, with CF monocell, not fiberglass and steel. Also, they ponied up for the much more expensive, and better sounding, AMG engine (over the LS7). All told, they have over $180k in receipts, plus 20k in wheels. Another case of a custom build that someone let get out of hand. I'd like to buy it but he wants too much, even with all the toys (150k). At the end of the day, it's still only a kit car. He's going to end up taking a bath on that, I won't pay more than 120, all in, and that's being generous. As I've said in the past, if he had any sense he'd take it and run, but then, if he had sense he wouldn't have put that much into it to begin with.

The Delta Integrale looks like a done deal, I believe we reached a fair price ($32k with an extra set of wheels and tires included). Issues? Yes. Leaky valve cover gasket, bad head gasket, scored front rotors, broken fuel gauge, and the passenger side window doesn't work.

So it is the 16 valve evo?  Other than that you're just describing typical Lancia troubles. Make a great grocery getter for the wife:wink_face: While your tentacles are out that way maybe you can scare up a Montecarlo somewhere.

Hey, Barrett-Jackson has cute chicks in tight outfits walking around the cars, that may change my opinion of them...

There's an interactive game where you can guess what a car will bring on the block, and there are prizes if you guess correctly.

I had a really good day today - my wife & I took a visiting coworker from the midwest wine tasting in the Santa Ynez valley. A good time was had by all! We got some really good tri-tip sandwiches, cheese and a bottle of Chardonnay for lunch. We only hit 4 wineries - but that was more than enough! The kind of day that makes me love living in California!

Everybody does it anyways, so if you have the chance to win prizes and Speed has the chance to splash advertisements all over your face it's a win-win.

No kidding, I got my clock cleaned for the most part, though. It's shocking how much more some cars sell for with B-J, I simply shook my head at times.

Oh, and I bought something from the Lambrecht auction. Maybe I'm not that sane either. tongue.gif

It's a '64 Corvair Monza 900 Spyder Club Coupe (turbo w/ 4-spd). I'm going to be killed when my mechanic sees it, so I'm not telling him until it arrives. redface.gif

I was digging through what was left that was being sold today and it was the only thing that really interested me. It was only $2000, and has 28k miles on it. Oh, and it's 100% complete! Hard to go wrong there, and we've restored them from worse than this. Feast your eyes on... uhh... oh well.
