The guy who dropped off the Brooklands has an V10 R8 he wants us to check out, was smashed a little in an accident last month. We can fix it or buy it, I'll get a look at it and see how it adds up. Been wanting one, we have some serious performance packages available for those, they're about as wide open as a GT-R (turbos, suspension, exhaust, engine management, etc.).

Wait you run a tuning shop and own a 240Z?

I always thought Thor was a jerk. He was always a little bit like Submariner - his methods for getting the villain might do as much or more harm to the innocent humans as the villain! that was always the problem with Marvel superheros that weren't really human (Silver Surfer was another example) - they didn't always give a cr@p about the humans, and they might think that losing a few trainloads of people to get the villain might be a fair trade-off.

My question is: He's been working on this since 2002. Where's the actual test data? I see papers with theory, and I see a video that seems to show an actual product - but no indication there has been any instrumented testing.

The Surfer is interesting, he's much more "human" now than before, probably more so than other characters with god-like levels of power. Thor's stint as Donald Blake helped him gain some humility, but he's still an ****** at times. One of my all-time favorite storylines from any comic is the Walt Simonson Thor/Beta Ray Bill arc, starting in issue 337. That was some epic storytelling.

Gah! That's just mean. Wouldn't be surprised if someone had a coronary over that.

Yeah, seems like a case of, "I'm mashing together a lot of different ideas and they should all work together, right?"

I can relate.

LOL, I doubt he has any.  When he goes off and starts talking about gravity the way he does, I immediately start thinking he's full of crap.

You mean after he got stuck here for a while, and after he got the hots for Nova?

They should really bring back Beta Ray Bill back, and not in a lame Thor Corps kind of way.

Oh c'mon, you don't think that's a little bit funny?  I think it only works on superstitious people.  I'm pretty either of our better halves would just kick her in the balls and cuss her out.

Well, I can honestly say, I have now made what will likely be the most expensive purchase of my entire life. The maintenance alone over the next 20+ years will be staggering, and all it does now is make noise, eat, pee, poop, and try to stick everything it can find into its mouth. Too late to complain now, I guess. *sigh*

Oh no, my wife would likely faint, she believes in ghosts, fairies, and all the supernatural stuff. rolleyes.gif I'm on the fence over some of it, but the rest I think is... I didn't say it wasn't funny, I'm just shocked that no one keeled over.

And I bet that little bundle of joy will have you sobbing like a kid the day she leaves.

Not to mention, much more precious and delicate than your entire collection.

It looks like a very nice job but the door shape doesn't exactly match the look of the car :P

And are those Toyota Celica headlights?
