I like the sound of that upgrade. I could picture it bugging you.....getting in that car and hearing the sound of a Chevy engine at startup, and thinking, "that ain't right!" biggrin.gif

BTW, someone could have bought a Countach replica, nice looking one too, for $20k.

Well, got my Fezza 250GT California replica, 38k. No way anyone could build one for that price, with all the extras.

Needs badging, corsa red paint, and some other cosmetic details, but not bad. Billy, this would be a nice Cali DD, right here.

.

Oh yeah! I would look *d@mn* good in that 250GT going up the 101 to Santa Barbara... tongue.gif Excellent call on pulling the engine. The only issue I saw with it as it stands is that it wouldn't sound right - and that would probably bug me quite a lot.

A chopper? Clarkson would be so disappointed in you.

I thought this was an interesting line in the Countach replica ad:
- Countach keys to start and unlock the doors and locking system

That seems.... odd....

What the???  That is an excellent score!  beerchug.gif

Hmm, need some way to balance out the GNX I guess...

Would love to see billy in something like that.  We got too much good weather here to not enjoy something like that.

I think that means it uses real Lamborghini keys, not just plain old blanks. A big yes on the engine, there's quite a difference in sound between an Italian V12 and GM V8. WTF?! eek.gif The Colombo we have is from a 400 2+2 (the ugliest Ferrari ever made), but who cares? From what I found, these kits run ~$30k, sans powertrain and interior, and then there's the labor and grief to assemble. So I'm pretty happy with it. Really hoping that it isn't all fiberglass. They claim that it's an alu/FRP body and I'm wondering how much they used.

We'll see how it grows on me. I like the bodies on those, and I have no doubt it's fast, but the interiors are a typical 80s domestic tragedy. lol

My wife is sick, so we're hanging out at home hitting up the auction. So far we picked up that little Fiat 500 Bianchina. That's gonna be cute overload with the Isetta of the same colors.

Fiat 500

Isetta

I'm still talking with them about the Jaguar XK140 roadster, but they want north of 100k for it.

Yesterday I saw the ugliest Ferrari I have ever seen. A bright yellow FF. It was truly hideous. It was headed up a hill near Santa Barbara, but there's not much in the direction he was going except avocado trees and a couple of crappy little rancho museums. Probably a tourist that wandered down from Santa Ynez after doing some wine tasting.

Not to mention they're not exactly set up for corner-carving.....lol.

I just quickly went through the channels  and saw that the auction was on. There was just a gorgeous red Boss 429 on there that the owner wouldn't let go for less than 250k. Bid was up to 230, I think, but what a beauty that was....

I can't believe the `99 550 Maranello went for $77k, it's barely worth $60k on a good day.

LOL, I'll bet that she makes those cars look normal sized.  biggrin.gif

So is this meant to be like, Tanry Deluxe? tongue.gif

Ha. If you mean "camry", then yes. It has blue leather seats, plus faux wood trim though! Plus it has power windows, something my girlfriend's new Yaris doesn't.

No, I don't mean the Camry, at least not overall. I mean the Tanry:
