Well, they were consistent, and they were better in quality than most others. I'd characterize them as "excellent" for home use, just not especially durable enough to handle with reckless abandon. Shockingly, the TH600s seem to be very solid, even with the single point design (thicker screws and heavier brace).

I kinda wish I'd kept the D7100s I received, if only as a good example of a bad one, but they were so wretched that I sent them back in disgust. Which is something I almost never do (because I hate doing returns), most likely someone else bought them as an open box and is so juiced on expectation bias that they can't tell the difference. rolleyes.gif

I think I just have an issue with the whole snap-off single-point pivot, pathetic screws that sheer and rattle around inside (even when you don't take them apart), and thin pleather pads that cost $100+ to replace. But like I said, we are talking about Denon - the same company that charges $500 for a patch cable. rolleyes.gif

But that's me.

On one hand I'm glad to hear the TH-600 are improved, but I also think it's kind of pathetic that Fostex feels the need to continuously raise the price as they make adjustments that should've been figured out before the product was released to the market. Again, ymmv.

Yeah, that would have been awesome.  A multi-unit head-to-head.  Something tells me the difference would have been profound.

For the record, their newer cables are only a hair above $300.

What?  That's a $200 price drop!  What more could you possibly ask for?  smile.gif  Bet it'd hold up pretty well if you shoved that in a Lincoln's wiring harness.  biggrin.gif

That's expensive for a spool of Cat 6. blink.gif I know because we use shielded Cat 6 for our wiring jobs, it's da bomb for car electrical/audio stuff.

So I don't feel like going out yet, and am tinkering with image filters. What think you, as a billboard? We're going to rent one off the main road, entering/exiting the city.

Of course our name and number will be on it too.

Gooding auction @Amelia Island in progress. A few lots of interest:

Wait, am I losing my ever lovin' mind, or did obobs just rec a VW?

LOL, you just couldn't let it go... biggrin.gif

Yeah, that thing has got your name all over it.  Though something tells me Mrs. Magick is gonna want it.

Now imagine light blue rubber bands/straps on it... wink.gif

ABOUT ABSINTH(E)

In some sort of cofee shop in Antibes (Near Nice, French Riviera), you can drink and buy about 30 varieties of absinth (with old vintages). Not all of them are green; some are yellow!

To Warrenpchi: I like your avatar, save for the glasses. Any chance of changing them for headphones that the young girl would take on/off?

Billboard looks good.

As far as that auction, my 58-yr-old uncle would cream his shorts if he saw Lot 02 and Lot 11. He's often reminisced about his Austin Healey 3000 convertible from back in the day...don't know exactly what year he had though.

Indeed!
I've seen some of them in Paris too..
Even though they were kept in special closets as relics of some long gone epoch..

The text that is on there now is waayyy too dark.  Otherwise, a very, very seductive image.  Also, if I may suggest something that will look bad ass... maybe darken the left side of the garage as well, and then throw down some lighting (like some kind of starlight that has no real source - it's just there) on Eleanor.  Feel free to email the file if you like, and I'll take a crack at it.  smile.gif

Actually, I'm not that into her.... smile.gif  You should PM TwinQY (http://www.head-fi.org/u/275867/twinqy).  It's actually his avatar and I was just borrowing it for a day.  I'd be willing to bet that he's got all kinds of pics of her, including ones without glasses, and possibly with headphones on.  Cheers!

Agree with warren on the text, can't quite visualize the lighting though, but I'd darken the garage door certainly. Otherwise very nice board. cool.gif

And yeah, that's a little rich for Cat6 (Monoprice wants $110 for the same box), still beats $300 for a single patch cable! tongue.gif
