Quatros always look nicer in photos (from the front) - in person, MEH. I've never seen one on the road, or been in one on the road - seen a lot at shows and dealers, often with scams like "buy this and get a free goat" or some other nonsense to try and move at least one of the OCEAN of stock they invariably have (there's a dealer near me that's still sitting on cars from ~2009 rolleyes.gif).

Lamborghini Veneno

More about it at BBC link to Geneva motor show here.

Which also has links to new Rolls, Bentley and the MacLAren P1:

The Veneno and the P1 are... what's the word I'm looking for? Oh, yeah, dreadful. redface.gif

Ray of light, however, the new LaFerrari:

I suppose I need to start saving my extra milk money. biggrin.gif

I'm not sure I like the new ferrari, that Kers thing is interesting though. But you know that they're already sold out, right?

I kind of like the P1. True, it's not the most beautiful car in the world but it has a form of beauty that makes form and function to an harmonious blend. Kind of like the new Porsche 918. It's just a simple, pure design that follows form and function.

The LaFerrari however... Not so sure. It does have a bit of 458 profile though.

I do agree though that the Veneno does look a bit too excessive.

+1

I'd not go as far as to say that the P1 is "harmonious" in any way, but I still think it's beautiful. The 918 is very cool, but way less extreme.

I don't like the new Ferrari's, they just don't look to me.

The Veneno just looks like a Lambo should. Outrageous. And Silly. and fugly.

EDIT: I've just read that the 918 is sold out, too !! 1M$ supercars selling like hotcakes? What kind of world are we living in...

They're "sold out" to dealers, not to the public. It's often a misleading statement to show they're in high demand.

The main thing I dislike about the P1 is the bubble-like roof, it ruins the symmetry of the car for me.

How so? Is it because the mclaren's look seems more organic due to it? At least that's how I feel.

Does anyone like the look of the 2013 Agera by Koenigsegg? Now that's as close to a Bugatti competitor as we'll ever see.

Organic? Not really. To me the roof is simply too tall, and every time I see one I think "bubble head".

Nope.  Not exactly the easiest thing to find around here.

Yeah, that thing has got your name all over it.  Though something tells me Mrs. Magick is gonna want it.

Yeah - it was annoying me, so I found the image. And I rec'd a VW after all the other ideas were shot down, and its "competition" was a Quatro and a modern RR or Bentley.

Well the reliability thing shouldn't bother Magick too much.  He probably won't put too many miles on it.  And even if it does break down, it's not like he doesn't have access to a mechanic.
