Did you know that you're the first person to mention a Phaeton or otherwise make me think of one, since around 2004? tongue.gif

Seriously whatever happened to that car?

Well, the car died in this market, because who wanted to pay $100k for a VW? No matter how good it actually was. Did you know the W12 in it is 3/4 of a Bugatti Veyron (just w/o turbos)? Seriously, it's rated at over 250k miles before rebuild. With the best interior to ever go in a German car? It's the father of the modern S-class. $15k... eek.gif

It was an A8, but the A8 was based off the Phaeton.

You're just trying to make me freak out. tongue.gif Besides, by the time she becomes a teen it may not even be legal to own these cars.

According to VW they still make the car; just not for Americans. But yeah, that's absolutely crazy on the pricing - I remember seeing those at shows years ago, and they really are S-Class/A8/etc competitors.

Yep, and it's a big ol' thing, for a Euro sedan. It would be right up your alley.

The real question is not whether *she* will get to borrow Daddy's Ferrari - it's whether her boyfriend will get to drive it - and before you say no - how would you know? tongue.gif
