Cheap build? Incorrect yet again and as you've never handled a Tera Player (TP) how can you possibly comment authoritatively on it's build quality? The build quality is actually extremely good and able to withstand severe treatment. I've accidentally dropped my TP on numerous occasions onto my concrete workshop floor with no ill affects and have inadvertently driven my motorized lawnmower over it too - how many other audiophile DAPs could withstand such punishment and still be fully functional?!?
Your relentless criticism is unfounded and based on theoretical `restrictions' that buyers readily accept, so given that TP owners aren't bothered about only using WAV and have readily embraced the intuitive controls, why base your `pertinent questions' on factors that aren't relevant to users? Unless of course you're just trolling!
Fair enough, I don't have to handle the player to see the manufacturing quality, I have seen enough on this thread and from photos to reach that valid conclusion. You're describing 'durability' not component/material costs, calling me a troll will not undermine the truth of my argument and is an easy and childish out...enjoy your tera player, I personally think that it is vastly overpriced but that is only my opinion which I am expressing in a light hearted manner on an open forum, that you choose to move toward ad hominem argument undermines your own.
