Can you give me the technical specs of a Stradivarius violin? and by using those specs rebuild an exactly similar sounding copy? And how about the ears and brains of people? The important part of music is not digital of hard core specs, but analog and very subjective. I'm glad it is.

Makes no sense at all given we are arguing about a DAP and a DAP has no emotional input or output whatsoever. You can anthropomorphisise until the cows come home but science is the absolute foundation of all music capture, recording and playback devices.

This has been quoted in this thread before, but did you actually look at it?

There is so much science does not yet know or can explain.

But a DAP + the music it plays can evoke an emotional response from a human subject. And that is what many of us are looking for.

I dont understand how such an amazing dap u have no way of navigating as it hasnt got a UI?! also is itunes sync capability copyrighted by apple?

Using the push buttons, one can quickly navigate by Artist, by Album, or play randomly. When playing randomly, if you hear a tune that you want to hear the complete album, one push will do that.

It is, however, rather cumbersome to locate one specific file if you have lots of albums or artists loaded onto your SDcard.

If you download the Tera-Player User Manual, it explains in detail the filesystem and how to navigate it.

More appropriately, it's like buying a super car that already knows which way it's supposed to go!! normal_smile%20.gif

I have noticed that if the strict artist-album folder hierarchy is not followed, the player may not find all music.

The Tera Supercar has the basics required for driving. It has a steering wheel, manual gear, 3 pedels and that's about it. It doesn't have cruise control, Bluetooth music streaming nor GPS navigation. Cool and useful options to have but not necessary for driving.

But the Tera Supercar goes 0-100 in 2.9 seconds. :-P

I've said this millions of times. It makes me cringe to hear this statement. The Tera Player has a UI. It just does not have a GUI. You forget that their is a difference, but it's quite key that any device you use in this context have a UI.....unless it can take input from your brain to change the song, but even then, still a UI.

Tera Player is not a card reader. Sync wouldn't work. iTunes will only sync with a device it recognizes as an iDevice.

Don't forget it has a bumping sound system......you know, when you plug in your preferred headphones that don't have an impedance match imbalance

Probably the appropriate analogy for the Tera as a super car...Lotus Elise...850 kgs with no fuss but performance.
