Second, music is not about science or technicalities. It is about emotion. Audio is about technical stuff and science. Sometimes these subjects can be linked. And science can explain certain things you can hear in music. But I wonder, for example, if science can explain the emotional qualities of certain music and musical instruments. Can you give me the technical specs of a Stradivarius violin? and by using those specs rebuild an exactly similar sounding copy? And how about the ears and brains of people? The important part of music is not digital of hard core specs, but analog and very subjective. I'm glad it is.
Makes no sense at all given we are arguing about a DAP and a DAP has no emotional input or output whatsoever. You can anthropomorphisise until the cows come home but science is the absolute foundation of all music capture, recording and playback devices.
