I had some ear time with both after a short break in. Not hearing any difference so far.

Not sure if it's my set, but the M50 LE doesn't sound as good as the regular version.  It also has a slight balance issue.  I am disappointed.  Anyone else noticed this?

You should turn you Audio Techinca ATH-M50s/LE back to Audio Technica. They should have a one year warranty. Where did you buy your pair?

I kind of have a slight balance issue with mine too where the left sounds a bit louder than the right...

 

After trying out Shure 440, Sennheiser HD439, Sennheiser HD 280 Pros... I will say the sound of the ATH M50S LE is ... quite good.
