Do you secretly respect Beats? - Page 6

I'm more of a treble head and when I heard the ED8 had oddly colored treble it kind of turned me off =/
Though the ED8 still look amazing, I still need that sound quality xD
Being my first high-end pair of cans and since I will primarily be using my crappy laptop sound card and iphone they might not shine as much as they would with a portable amp or something... my review probably wouldn't be as valid as some other reviews, though, I will still post thoughts on it based on being portable cans.

If you don't mind, could you explain a little bit more about your theory? Apparently, people who like Beats and don't have the same musical preferences as you have lower IQ's.

If people out there legitimately like the sound of Beats, then great for them. I don't think anyone is dumb or foolish for buying a product and liking it. It's just the opinion of some (that have actually tried them) that they are mediocre. I understand there is a possibility of bias, in that, people tend to not like things that are popular and widespread.

 

And unfortunately, that's something that probably can't be avoided. But I would like to think, considering that most of us are willing to spend a lot of money, and try the most ridiculous headphones on the market to get the best sound, if the Beats really had incredible sound for the money, people would bite their pride and use them.

When hell freezes over and dre comes out with headphones with audiophile quality at a fair price, I'll think about buying them.

Yes I have a more refined taste and better musical preferences then the main stream beats buying pop listening types and also I would be willing to bet that I have a higher IQ also. Lets face it the target audience beats by dre is marketed at are not the probably sharpest of tools in the toolbox
