Hello,

I am basically looking for an isolating IEM in the price range of Etymotics HF5/Shure SE215s. Things that are important are clarity and detail in the sound, with having the deepest bass possible, preferably with a wide soundstage.
One thing that I would like to note is that I want them to be wearable straight-down.

Can you think of any IEM that can match my taste?

Thanks

So essentially you want the best of everything for about 100 bucks :frowning2:

Give the JVC FXT90 a try I guess.

Haha, kind of. But this time I'm looking forward to better clarity & detail.
I will take a look into that. Any other options that you can think of?
Forgot to mention that source is an iPod Classic.

The Brainwavz M4, EX600, MTP Gold, UETF10Pro, Radius DDM, FX500 are recommended and they all are detailed yet offers good deep punchy bass.

I recently got the new Audio Technica CKS77. I know these are not known by others here but these are crazy astonishing. They are exactly how you describe what you want. Here is a link to my review on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-Solid-In-Ear-Headphone-ATH-CKS77BK/dp/B005I4L6NI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1330710599&sr=1-1  I have nothing currently that has better balance detail and bass than these. Quite astounding for the price. An earphone people have no idea about.

Consider the Hippo VB as well. The sub-bass reaches really low, while still retaining great clarity on the default plate.

I did some research on that and I found that they have big housings that isn't good for all ears. My ears are quite small, so I am worried about the fit... Can you share your experience of the fit with me please?

Will consider the M4's/MTP; EX600 is kinda over-the-ear only, Radius has a strange colouring (?!) and the FX500s don't seem to have very good isolation.

I found them on Amazon for £130, are they really in this price or can it be a fake? I thought they are £200+... But I really like to get these as there are alot of positive reviews of everything about them.

Hmm heard about some similar models, but not that. Will also consider that.

So my choices (narrowed down) are: TF10 - M4 - Turbine Pro Gold - Hippo VB

Between these, which would you pick for the best clarity and deepest, most punchy bass? And also the wider the soundstage, the better. The TF10's should be a really good choice if they are not fakes at £130 but one of my concerns about them is the fit as they seem to have large housings like the Hippo VBs which doesn't seem to be good for all ears. Also, they seem more advanced because multiple drivers rather than a single dynamic... Am I right?

I greatly appreciate all the thoughts and i'm still looking forward to more!
Thanks alot

I listened to one of the expensive CKS's not sure exactly which model and it was over-the-top enhanced low quality bass I did not favour it...

The older CKS50, CKS70, CKS90s didn't win over too many fans. There is nothing low quality on these newer CKS77s. Keep an eye out on the CKM50 thread there will be more guys that are going to get these. I love how these sound I was immediately impressed by their clarity and detail yet throwing up a sub woofer like bass end. Completely immersive sound.

The TF10's win in you narrowed down list, especially with the thread title "IEM that has clarity with the best bass?"

I could definitely appreciate the ER-4-like clarity in the upper-highs of the TF10, and I've never seen someone say they didn't like the b4ss......

Still, there's a lot of IEM's out there, for example you might actually prefer the fit and sound of the Vsonic GR06.

Great. I would like to experience something new, rather than a usual single dynamic driver. And TF10s are not so more expensive than the HF5s or SE215s (!).
Are there any other armature IEMs that are in the same price range with properties similar to TF10s?
