Sorry for the big multi-quote.  I just wanted to let all interested parties know that I'm going to be bringing three DACs with me.  All three have USB input.  Of the three, I'll only be using one, so the other two are up for grabs for use during the show.  Just don't make me regret it.  wink.gif

I'll be using the Resolution Cantata Music Center with my amps.

I'll also be bringing a Cary Xciter DAC (single ended only) and a Benchmark DAC1 USB (balanced and unbalanced outputs), so other people can use those if they want.

lol I remember when I requested all your equipment cool.gif

Please bring thunderpants , interested to hear how they compare to my D7000

I'm definitely coming in , looks like will be using LIRR. Bringing my recently purchased favorites D7000, DT1350 with Cowon A3 plus HD650 with Blue Dragon V3 cable and GR10, both are for sale if anybody interested

Ok, one more question.  Does the place have AC?  Just thinking that a June day in NY in a room with no AC with 100 people and a countless number of vacuum tubes could get a bit toasty.  Not that there's anything to do about it now, just setting my expectations...

So I'm getting really psyched for this meet, very interested to see how my new "portable" rig performs.  By portable, I mean I can fit it all in the car o2smile.gif

Please bring a few progressive rock CDs.  I want to learn more about this genre!

I am definitely down for some Dream Theater or whoever else on saturday.

I'll repeat what I wrote earlier on in the thread about the gear I'm planning on bringing...

I'll be bringing my iPad with maybe 20 or so albums encoded as FLAC (also tons of Mp3s/AAC) > Camera Connection Kit > USB Hub > Gamma-2 / GrubDAC > Objective2 / Cavalli Compact Tube Hybrid > Ohrenholz Mahogany Magnum V4s / Thunderpants. I also have a pair of LCD-2 Rev2s that I just picked up that I could bring, but I'm thinking 2 pairs of phones is enough. Plus I'm sure people would be more interested in hearing the Thunderpants or Magnums anyways.

I also have a La Figaro 332C that has been up for sale for quite a while. It's basically the brother to the famed DarkVoice 332 (3322) and it needs a new home. If anyone is interested I can bring it and we might be able to do a sale.

Finally, I'm stoked to meet Jude, Tyll, and the rest of the gang.

Can't wait!

Hey guys.   So I decided not to head out to eastern LI tmrw, which means I'll be coming from home in Manhattan.   Wondering if anyone else coming from Mnhtn would like to meet up at Penn for the trip out?  Or, if anyone happens to be driving out from Manhattan, I would be happy to chip in for gas/tolls if I could hitch a ride.  I'm not bringing a ton of gear, if any (because I don't have it! haha).    Send me a pm - i'll be checking tmrw afternoon and evening.

Just fyi, there are 3 trains from Penn that put you out in Babylon before 10am: 7:45 (8:46), 8:09 (9:27), and 8:39 (9:42) [and a fourth if you take the local from the Jamaica Xfer a couple minutes earlier at 9:04].   And x3 as many more to get you there before 1pm.

Here's the Babylon schedule (left side, pg 2), if it wasn't listed yet on this thread:  http://www.mta.info/lirr/Timetable/Station/BabylonBY5.pdf

And finally, happy to help give direction to out-of-towners if you need it - just give me a shout.  Looking forward to my first-ever meet!

-Will

I spent some time with my doctors today and there is way to much risk if I were to travel.

Luckily its not my hands that are affected (making cables....). tongue_smile.gif

I look forward to seeing comments, photos and people that I haven't seen for some time now.

The final decision was made today. So sorry for the late notice!!!

I had serval new products to show and some rather interesting announcements to make. I guess I will have to find other avenues...

There will be 24 tables setup at the hall if we need more they will be available to us.No need to bring tables.
