For those who are driving ,pay attention to the parking signs as they are enforced.

Also, if anyone is coming in by train, let me know if you need a ride from the train station to the event. PM me and if when I wanna go is around when you plan to be there I am happy to lend a ride.

The train station is one block away from the hall ,well within walking distance.Look at note #5 in first post.

Thanks for offering rides & making up the auction forms.

Quick question... is there somewhere I can read up on how the not-so-silent auction works? And is it cash only or other forms of payment too?

Sorry for the late notice but I would like to attend. I would bring: "Breadboard" (plexi-glass covered) spud tube amp based on Doug Savitsky's Electric Avenue, Rotel CD player, and Beyerdynamic DT-880's (600ohm).

Cash only
items will be on a table with bid sheets So you can write in what you want to bid.
Around 3:00pm we will hold the auction where the highest bid can be upped if someone wants to bid more just like you would do in a regular auction, highest bidder wins.

HELP ME!  NO FRONT END FOR THE NYC MEET!

I replaced my highend DAC with a Smyth Realizer which is, at best, an indifferent DAC, but at least it is still much better than the analog outputs on my Dell laptop!  But I just found today that if you do not have a monitor on the other end of the HDMI pass-through, my computer will not output audio into the Realizer via HDMI.  ... and I have no other quality front-ends at the moment.

Does anyone going to the meet have a front-end with an extra output or something that I could run off?  Sorry, and I don't want to impose, but I also see no point of driving all the way to NYC from Rhode Island just to have my SR-009/KGSS sound like ass because they are running off my computer.

Someone will have something to plug that into. BRING IT!

+1.  Also bring your cables, balanced and single ended.  People might have a source to share, but not usually extra cables.
