That would be great.

I have a special request. Today I got back from school to find out that my Buffalo dac input selector is damaged from my 2yr old daughter or my wife. I opened it up and it appears to be due to three snapped off hookup wires from over turning the knob causing to much strain on the joints. I assume this is a simple fix for an expert DIY guy so if anyone is willing to help me out that would be very appreciated, of course I will to pay for the help of course. I only have about a month to enjoy my stuff until I get back to med school for more suffering so I really upset about this. If anyone is willing to help or is willing to help me out PM me I can also provide some photo if you want them. Im keeping my fingers crossed in the meantime!

PS. I will be bringing the following:

Beta 22

Buffalo II (hope it will be fixed by then or at the meet)

HD800 w/ Black dragon

K1000 w/ Black dragon

HP-1 or HP-2

HE500 w/ blue dragon

Thanks guys!I will try to take more pics later today. It may be hard to see but there are three loose wires one red, and two green ones. There appears to be 2 metal post that had parts of broken wires on them still. One of the post appears to once had 2 wires connected.  L1020027.JPG

It is probably possible to fix but with multiple wires broken you need to get a wiring diagram from the manufacturer.

Hey, I know i asked previously but never really got any responses. I am trying to find out if anyone will have a balance terminated IEM cable that would work with recessed ports? I am hoping that Whiplash Audio is bringing a pair, but I really would love to be able to try out the AS-2b's in a balanced configuration for my review. as well as everything else I listen to with them during the meet may likely be talked about in my review.

Right, a schematic would be very helpful. I will bring my tools, so in a bit of time aside, we could fix it. What does the thingy do?

edit: Nvm I can't read. Didn't see it was a dac not an amp

It is a buffalo II DAC by twisted pear audio. I do have a layout of this "MUX control" that has the issues I also have the MUX board layout that is fine I guess it can be used to trace back to see what wires are for what. Im putting the documents in a public dropbox that anyone can access since i cannot put doc attachment here on HF. Thanks!

I would also appreciate if someone could take a look inside a KGSSHV I do intend to bring to the meet along the LL.

It was sold to me a couple of months ago but could never actually make it work (The first time I turned it on I heard a pop and it fried some transistors. I have changed them but the soldering, wiring and grounding seems very poorly executed).

I know that the Kgsshv is not an easy circuit. That's why I'd like to leave it with someone willing to fix it (I'd gladly pay for the services, of course).

Thanks,

Erico
