Solution - try a Lake People G95 Pro Audio Amplifier with the HD650. Everyone has a left/right bias to a certain extent

depending how strigently you wish to assess it.

It's not the only amp out there with left/right channel bias. Heck, you could even do it via software.

For those that do not know - these Lake People are the chaps behind 'Violectric'.

I actually have a left right bias selector on my NAD amp....

Maybe I should use it then... I just don't like the thought of having faulty headphones...

TBH I am being quite fussy about it as it is not really THAT obvious and also it seems to be heavily influenced by the position of the headphones on my head.... If I just stop thinking about it and listen then they sound great but annoyingly I have a slightly OCD personality and things like that irritate me lol. If I press the left headphone with my fingers so it is perfectly sealed and facing into my left ear it sounds balanced 99% but if I just put them on my head it goes back to slightly right balanced.

I first thought my HD 650's were imbalanced aswell but it turns out they're just extremely sensitive to how they're positioned on your head. Try to angle the rightside cup differently and see if that makes any difference. That's what fixed things for me atleast. I have no similar issues with other headphones using the same source/amp gear/cables.

Please send it back to sennheiser for testing. I did that today for my HD650. Sennheiser has a foolproof way of testing by using audio analyzer. they will replace the drivers for you..

Mmmm yes I think you are right.... I have been trying loads of different positions and it seems that if I get the headphones in a position so both headphones seal well around my ear and are in the right position the balance is 99% fine.... They do seem to be very fussy about how you wear them on your head...

Is your caps lock on? Anyway, sorry to hear about their slow response. I had really good support from them in the recent past.

My right side is a lot louder, only because i blew out the left side when I pulled it out of a really old receiver!

i've had my HD650's for a week and thought mine sounded 'right sided' at first .  swapped them around on my head (left cup on right ear etc.) and it turns out my hearing is right sided, not the headphones. looking into getting my noggin replaced under warranty but i can't find my damn paperwork.
