lulz

I actually heard Apple's upset with Dr. Dre for him and Tyrese blabbing about the deal prematurely on Instagram.

Wonder if Apple dabble in beats brand future models leaning towards the audiophile crowd, or just look to go for direct streaming of music directly into future models headphones, which is pretty much why I'd speculate their interest in buying beats is for - direct streaming to cans?

Those ATH W1000X cans look great. Forgive me for bashing Beats again but why follow the herd when there are so many other interesting and arguably better choices out there for the same money?

Apple were probably upset when this guy turned up at their HQ offices to collect on behalf of Dre - only to be told by Apple executives to make like Michael Jackson and Beat it, until the deal was finalised...(lol biggrin.gif)

Beats are what I cut my headphone teeth on and if it wasn't for them I likely wouldn't be here today, so beats will always have a place in my collection for sure - and I think they sound pretty good and have their place in the headcan world.

I appreciate beats for what they are and not what they aren't and don't strive to be, and I don't just go with beats - I go with many other headcan brands too - I don't buy into the beats Vs other cans argument - I have beats, Audio Technica, AUDEZE, Sennheiser etc - and appreciate them all in their own rights and see no reason for beats to be the whipping boy of the headcan world.

For example - if out and about with iPod, there is absolutely no purpose in dragging HIFIMAN HE-6 cans along as they need a nuclear power plant of an amp (10kg EF-6 or equivalent) to power and directly plugging into a source device will likely produce nothing - this is an extreme example I know, but beats excel IMO in plug and playing to a direct source device as like the Studio's for example have built in amp and require no portable amp whatsoever.

And I personally dig the whole beats image - I'm kinda immature in that way - part of me has yet to grow up I guess biggrin.gif

What really surprised me when I started uploading pics of my headcan collection onto my gallery was the amount of views there has been to date on pics of beats cans which have in many cases way surpassed pics of "summit-fi" cans, and also shocked but pleased by the amount of views I've had from starting my pic gallery just over 3 weeks ago, which as of right now is just over 35k! People must like looking at lots of different cans I guess - including beats being one of the most looked at type too!

This guy (part time audiophile) pretty much sums up my thoughts on beats - I've posted his Abyss unboxing video, as it's interesting, IMO, and also shows his creds as someone who knows his shizz in audio for sure which leads onto his summary review of beats studio 2.0, which if you watch, clearly goes against the audiophile grain largely held on beats cans, which is a credit to this guy for speaking his own mind and IMO, the real deal on beats cans outside of the blanket hate remarks posted by many audio snobs...

Abyss AB-1266 owner who also owns beats studio 2.0's and appreciates them - who'd of thought it? rolleyes.gif
People are "PRIMED TO HATE" beats...

Really?

I was kinda shocked TBH - a lot of peeps said they liked pics posted - but moderator did inform that it was the volume of big pics I did in a single post (a cluster bomb?) that rained in the complaints that led to one particular post of mines to be pulled and me being politely put in my place redface.gif

I meant no harm - honest blink.giftongue.gif

Yeah, they're fine for people who don't mind seeing the pictures, but for those who would rather read the rest of the thread, scrolling through a number of hi-res pictures would make it a bit inconvenient for them.

Yeah. I can understand him for doing so. When I make multibillion dollar deals, I tend to brag as well. I have also heard they're upset with him, but I doubt it changes anything. If Apple had plans for Beats, they'll probably seal the deal.

Yeah, you could buy a few Bentley convertibles or any other supercar(s) of your fancy with deals like the beats - Apple one for sure smily_headphones1.gif
I too would likely find it hard to be tight lipped if in the same scenario as Dre...
