With tiny titanium fishhook barks lined all along its length that gore your ear canals every time you try to pull them out.

They're permanent installations. You can come to the next Head-Fi meet and brag that you, and only you, have a true committment to perfect sound.

 

Man, it would suck if they actually didn't live up to expectations after all that.

Somehow I won't be surprised if something along those lines will actually be commercially available in the near future...with computerized audio/vision enhancement augmentations and whatnot.

 

FAD is 50 years ahead of its time!

I bet the Muramasa will sound just as good as them Dr. Dre beats or those Ultrasone Edition series. biggrin.gif

Well, attack the price and bling all you want but FAD has a higher percentage of good sounding phones out there compared to about 90% of brands.  They know how to make something sound good and usually do.  If it weren't for the price and some design choices I'd likely have a few FAD phones in my inventory.  FAD looks like a joke but they don't sound like it.

I'm retailing this acoustically treated and anatomically shaped headband padding for the Muramasa. It is only $99 as an introductory offer and the price will increase to $150 soon. This superbly pliable padding cossets the listeners head and is sumptuously comfortable, allowing hours of listening pleasure without scalp chaffing or hair loss caused by naked headband rub. Handmade in a Tibetan monastery by devout monks. Each audio pad is individually numbered and can be safely used in the bathtub.

Hey, you forgot to mention that it's also perfect for keeping your Tera-Player's screen clean and fingerprint free :)

Anaxilus puts it quite well: FAD makes some questionable design decisions and charge way more than their competitors, but the sound they achieve isn't so easily dismissed. They are serious sound engineers.

I actually think the ED8 is underestimated. It performs like a closed HD800 that can be technically portable and looks extremely classy.

Agree completely with this. When you listen to them some of the weird design stuff goes out the window I feel. I have to say I have been converted. I had almost given up on anything beating my ER4S's until the HeavenS came along. It's like Etymotic, you can hear the care and attention to detail that they put into the product I feel!
