does anyone know what the sound signature for the HFI 550 is?  would be interested to see the graph too.  I'm guessing it's different from the 550 PRO:

Hmm....I'm gonna take back my previous statement about these headphones.  I thought they would be bass cannons out of the box...but I've realized after playing around with EQ, they can handle massive amounts of bass :D

i already bought headphones. i got the crossfade lp but wasn't thrilled with the comfort, they are great for those with ears that don't stick out. i sold those then jumped in with both feet and dropped some money on the m50 limited edition, couldn't be more happy. if i could have the v-mods pads, a bit larger on the m50, it would be perfect

that said, i am pleased with the m50

Epic. Glad to hear your happy with it. I think I will be buying the Pro 700MK2.
