Red Wine Audio’s Audez’e Edition amp / DAC worth it?

I am somewhat new to Head-Fi gear and should get my LCD 2 some time next week, so now I'm pondering on what amp/dac to get. The two that seem good with LCD 2 are Lyr/Bifrost and  the Red Wine Audio. Wondering if Red Wine Audio amp is worth the premium over Lyr?

at the price point of the RWA you might want to get something like that cavalli liquid fire, which is much more highly rated with the LCD-2s than the RWA amplifer, and then buy a seperate DAC.  that said, if you're new to head-fi are you sure you want to throw down 4k on your first gear?  you might not really be able to appreciate the quality of that gear, so maybe get the Lyr/Bitfrost, learn to appreciate that then move up later.

Perhaps you should attend a meet to try different gear to determine the path to follow. I have a RWA Isabella w/ the Class A headphone amp and I love the sound but as stated it is a lot of money and you should first listen to it. Good luck.

Hey bud

You can just make a thread asking if anyone near you has one to listen to or wait for a head fi meet in your area.  Good luck in your decision
