I am not worrying about the sound, since I know 901 would sound as least as good as (if not better than) dx100. Otherwise they won't release it.

 

1250? no way... they price in the chinese market is about $950.  I don't think many people would pay $1000 on a DAP. Even the price is $900, different amp modules and the stand.adds up to over $1500 easily. So it better sound like as good as a desktop DAC within that price range, say, Anedio D1.

Nice in theory, but I think this is more optimism or opinion than knowledge...

(Please note that I only sold mine because I needed the cash - when I'm back to good health and earning again, I'll very probably buy a replacement DX100 ....   and who knows, MAYBE even a HM-901...)

Looks like the 901 is nowhere in the horizon. Can't even smell it. Head direct customer service also do not want to comment on its availability.mad.gif

I was eagerly waiting for it, even will preorder it if possible. But now tired of waiting. Even if it comes out in Dec, I will just wait and read all the reviews. Will only get it in March next year - that kind of time period.:smily_headphones1.gif

It is almost ready, judging for all the demo event hosted in China. It was suppose to be out by now, but they decided to replace some parts due to early feedback on the slightly wobbly scroll wheel mechanism before hitting the market officially.
