LOD for Zune HD

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for ways to activate the Line-out of the ZuneHD,

after doing some researches, I found it requires a 5V power supply to activate the line out

But is there anyone have tried it before?

Some portable 5V power supplies are quite small and I would not mind to bring one with me

but I want to know how to connect the pins with the power supply

Here is the pin out list of Zune

Pin 01 - USB 5VDC(+) (common with Pins 2,3)
Pin 02 - 5VDC(+) (common with pins 1,3)
Pin 03 - 5VDC(+) (common with pins 1,2)
Pin 04 - Unknown (used on travel remote) 1.75 VDC (+)
Pin 05 - Unknown (used on travel remote) 1.75 VDC (+)
Pin 06 -
Pin 07 -
Pin 08 -
Pin 09 - Video (+)
Pin 10 -
Pin 11 -
Pin 12 -
Pin 13 - Audio L (+) (also audio on travel remote)
Pin 14 - Audio R (+) (Also audio on travel remote)
Pin 15 -
Pin 16 -
Pin 17 - Unknown (used on travel remote) these are likely our trigger
Pin 18 - Unknown (used on travel remote) these are likely our trigger
Pin 19 - Ground (common with Pins 22,23,24,and shield)
Pin 20 - USB Data (-)
Pin 21 - USB Data (+)
Pin 22 - USB Ground (common with Pins 19,23,24,and shield)
Pin 23 - Ground (common with Pins 22,19,24,and shield)
Pin 24 - Ground (common with Pins 22,23,19,and shield)

I know I should connect the Audio L,R (Pin 13,14) to the 3.5mm plug, but I am not sure which ground I should connect to. And which pins are for the power supply?

Further more, I saw there are 5V supply in the Zune itself (pin1-3), can i simply connect these with the ground to activate the LO?

Thank you so much

I would think connecting pins 1-3 to ground would cause a short circuit & be very bad for your zune. Are pins 1-3 5v out of zune or where zune expects to get 5v from usb? If anything the trigger pins should have power applied to them, but if it were this simple someone would have tried by now? I really hope this problem gets solved it would make my HD much more useful.

Thanks for your reply
I have found something really interesting in a online shop in China after posting this threadT2o1SoXbVaXXXXXXXX_!!276612759.jpg

The seller is not sure it can be used as a LOD of the HD

so I am going to get one to see if this works
